A few quick recording tests to show how the Zoom Q3HD captures sound, very well I think.

All of this is straight off the camera, no post processing on the audio at all.

The acoustic guitar has very VERY old strings on it so it is very dead sounding but still gives a fairly full sound I think.

I also captured my son playing his Roland drum kit, but I only captured the room acoustic sound of the kit as I was interested in how that would sound when recorded, which is not very useful other than to show the depth of sound that the Q3HD can capture.

Good sound quality, very nice in fact, good drumming, and excellent guitar work.
I think it sounds good, Jon.  I waited to listen through my monitors.  Sounds like a perfectly adequate way to record room audio without much fuss.
The sound quality of this thing got me gassing again, so I have now just bought the Zoom H6 (audio only recorder).  Just got it today and the quality of this thing is amazing. Sits in the hand and can record 6 independant tracks at once.  Great for using one of the stereo mics that comes with it for room mics and then close mic using the other 4 inputs.  This is great !
