* Carbon offset credits will be mandatory...even to the point of gas rationing, fire place & grill usage, etc....

I live on the outskirts of the city of Austin, but I early-voted a couple of weeks ago. Took me 15 minutes to sort out my registration issues (my DL isn't updated), but overall, it was a piece of cake. No real wait time at all.

Looks like Randy is predicting an Obama win.

Actually, Randy, the filibuster will be intact.  fivethirtyeight.com puts the chance of a 60-seat Democratic Senate at 10%.  That's pretty low.  If the Obama vote approaches a landslide, it might happen, but otherwise, it is unlikely.  58 seats is my prediction, and electoral votes for Obama in the 330s.

Its pretty clear that Obama will win.  nothiing against McCain.  He is a good gman and really nothing like George Bush.  I think America has spoken and is tired of the past 8 years.  we can do better than we have done.  

Pelosi and Reed are a complete joke.  yes, I agree, but as much as I wanted to vote republican, I just couldn't.   If the president of a company runs a company into the ground in 8 years.  he can blame his sales people or the bad economy or other employees or his product people... but a strong CEO at the end of the day will say.. we.. or I didn't do my job and the buck stops  here.  its time for a change.

The only bummer will be is that the Sean Hannities of the world will do everything in their power on the air waves to make sure obama/america fails... because thats good for extremism.   However a true "great american"  will want the best of America no matter who is in office.
