AIG is the ground zero of this crisis.
The ratings agencies are corrupt as well,
Very surprised they haven't been hauled over the coals.
They blessed this shit as AAA rubber stamping the AIG role of insuring a multi trillion real estate market from losses.
It is and was a farce.
Jail time might go higher than you think though -a scam of this nature had to have political cover
Yeah, that's what bothers me more than anything. No one was watching, and those who were charged to watch looked the other way.
The last administration would be hauled over the coals.
Really? By whom? The press? Nope. That's a right-wing myth, quite obviously, because if they had done their job effectively, and not pussied out under pressure, the American people might have realized how much they had just been fucked long before any of this happened.
More like "The last administration SHOULD be hauled over the coals." No one has, and I fear no one will, because we're "all trying to move on." So those pieces of shit will get away with fucking this country (and others) over in every way conceivable.
That is why you will see no action.
You think this administration's getting a pass? Yeah, the GOP is being
really helpful to Obama these days...creating and spreading myths about the budget, like the myth that it's a lot larger than other recent budgets, and that taxes are going to skyrocket, both of which are TOTAL BULLSHIT, fear-mongering about a coming socialist dictatorship, etc. It's just fucking retarded, and typical modern right-wing crap - deflect from the real issues with a bunch of non-issues. If the dipshit Democrats in Congress weren't being as sanctimonious and diversionary about it all, I might have a modicum of respect for them. But they haven't earned it.
I'm as worried about all this as anyone, but I'm not going to forget which bastards (both D and R) and what sort of ideology got us into this mess.
And it's not socialism...
