Syria. Peaceful negotiation. Getting rid of wmd's. (Hopefully) Beautifully played. Brilliant!!!

Iran...... http://news.yahoo.com/iran-fm-hold-landmark-meeting-major-powers-161833879.html

Those 2 things right there should be historical moments, imo. Obama should be getting some serious praise for this.

Way to go President Obama!
I think the Iran thing is HUGE.  Not so sure about Syria, we'll see how that works out.  And yet, Ted Cruz is still filibustering Obamacare, as if it's 2009.
I don't understand stupidity I guess. The last I heard was that Obamacare was the law of the land. Why the fuck are those idiots still arguing as if we were voting on it next week?

Why don't they try reading the damn law and find out what's in it? Work on trying to fix things that may need to be tweaked, for example, instead of wasting time and money fighting a battle that's already been won. It's over. Done. Move on for the love of pete.

We are really stupid as a people to put up with that. It's like a 5 year old spoiled child who just sits in the corner and screams knowing full well the longer he screams, the longer he has to sit in the corner.
Obamacare has already started fucking over several people I know including my Mom.  She was getting excellent care and now several places won't help her any more.  Two other people I know have been forced to go part-time and another two have lost their health insurance completely.

I forget, what was it supposed to accomplish anyway?
Lowering health care cost to everyone.

Didn't say anything about what it would do after it became law because no one knew what the law said in the first place.  ;D I'm sure some conservatives got their underwear in nots and had knee-jerk reactions. And I'm sure they didn't know what was in the law. No question. Because fox news still doesn't seem to know.  ;D

No pain, no gain, I guess. Isn't that the way it goes? They may be the last few people who get shit on by health insurance companies or employers who provide health insurance.

Wouldn't it change the market place a bit, for jobs, if employers didn't have that to hang over your head. I know a lot of people who have taken some shit from their boss and is powerless to a degree, because they have someone sick, son daughter, whatever, and they have to have that insurance.

Take insurance out of the equation and people can work where they want. You'll never be without coverage of some kind ever. Just a thought.

Thats kinda the importance of pre-existing conditions, right. Now, even if you had a child with cancer and found a better job with better insurance, you can take it. Their insurance company won't be able to reject you, right?

I don't like Obama care. But it's hear to stay. It's where we start to really have a serious debate on healthcare. I'm going to try to be optimistic that in the future we can have a much better healthcare in this country.  ;D

If you hate Obama and Obamacare, you're going to find reasons to blame everything bad about healthcare on him and on the law.  Since none of the real provisions have even come into action yet, I find this very hard to believe.  But hell, we all know those insurance companies were super nice and helpful before, so no one ever got fucked with before Obamacare, right?

Here's a handy wrapup of myths and fact checks from both sides.  I know you won't let the facts get in your way, but at least you should know them, so you know whether you are being honest, at least with yourself.

Oh, and I'd be very interested to learn how Obamacare forced two people you know to go part time.  I call bullshit.
This is the most interesting analysis of part-timers whose companies will likely drop health insurance in favor of Obamacare:

http://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/the-exchange/part-timers-losing-healthcare-insurance-may-want-thank-210354500.html

I found the Trader Joe's example most illuminating:
Trader Joe’s is one employer known for offering generous health care benefits, even for part-timers (until now). But even those workers could end up better off under Obamacare. In an internal email published by the Washington Post, a Trader Joe’s exec provided some calculations for a part-time employee who earns about $24,000 per year and has been paying about $167 per month as her share of a Trader Joe’s policy similar to a “silver” plan under the ACA. If she enrolls in Obamacare, the subsidized cost would fall to about $70 per month for nearly identical coverage. And that’s before a $500 annual stipend Trader Joe’s plan to offer part-timers to help them pay for insurance.

To be sure it's not all wins, and some people will pay more for insurance.  People like me, probably, who earn a decent amount, will pay more.  But I don't think we can dispute that a lot more people will be covered, and health care costs, especially unreimbursed emergency costs that currently get paid by the states, will go down overall.
"I know you won't let the facts get in your way, but at least you should know them"

Your killing me man. ;D

I tried to read the damn shit and it's exactly like the Bible. Read a paragraph in 30 seconds, spend 3 hours trying to figure out what I just read.  ;D ;D Could be that I was educated in Alabama, I guess. :D
How much legislation have you read?  Because I guarantee Obamacare is not the only hard legislation to read... it's all hard to read.  That's why it's so handy that about a million sites online have broken it down to what it actually does...
Can you suggest a good site. I gave up on reading the actual law. Haven't read any until this, to be honest with you.
http://obamacarefacts.com/obamahealthcare-summary.php

This site actually has everything-- from the entire bill, to summaries of different parts, to breakdowns of how the bill affects pretty much everything you can think of.  It even has a section on how Obamacare made Craig's friends go from full time to part time*.

(*not really because that's totally unrelated to Obamacare.)
I got divorced because of Clinton.

Thanks for the site. :)
