Why can't Obama's camp stay away from the dirty politics? Did they really need to bother bringing up the Keating Five issue?

It's not going to sway independents, because I'd imagine a lot of them already know about it and don't care. It's gotcha bullshit.

Of course they should detail Obama's relationship (or lack thereof, in reality) to William Ayers, and attack the fuck out of those dicks for trying to lie about him, but stick to the facts, and don't just make "suggestions" the way those dirty pieces of shit are doing right now (McCain and Palin).

The McCain camp and the GOP have no shame, and I hate to see the Obama camp slumming, taking the fight down to their level.

Stick to the issues, Obama, and stay above the fray. That's the only way you'll prove you're leadership material to me - someone who can rise above the bullshit and put reason and rationality above all petty infighting.

It's truly gotten pathetic over in GOP-land...and their drones lap it up like little kittens with a saucer of milk.

Or more appropriately, like pigs at feeding time (with lipstick, of course).

And Obama's camp seems to want to get in on the action.

Thoughts?

It's probably not Obama, but his advisors. Remember, the public swims in ignorance, so even ignorance must be confronted, I guess. :(

Yes, i don't like the way this is going at all.  Obama is absolutely crushing McCain--right now he is lined up to win in a landslide.  McCain is running out of options.  But I agree.  The Obama camp should not have gone there.

At the same time, it's one thing to put out an attack ad.  It's another to have your VP out there calling your opponent a terrorist.  It's not 1948 anymore, and these people should get a clue.

At least there's only one month left...
