I've been a little critical of the President on certain issues. (Duh) ;D

However, I must come to his defense on this. Has anyone noticed the lack of putting the word, or title President before his last name? This man is not just Obama, he's President Obama. Even the liberal media is guilty of it sometimes. Obama this, Obama said this, etc. He's fucking President of the U.S. He's President Obama. I guess this could be a small item to some, but it's really starting to get on my nerves. Anyone else noticed this?
did the same thing to bush.
Actually, I hear him called "The Obama" a lot lately.  ;) :D

I heard much worse name calling for Bush. ;D

Maybe I'm just noticing it. Bush never earned the respect, maybe.  ;)
well, obama is rapidly losing it...

Whatever.

You're mistaking him for just about all right-wing pundits and Republican congresspeople. They're the douchebags that are "losing it", crying on TV, saying Obama's Fascist empire is coming but then saying Obama is a pussy (make up your fucking minds).

Fucktard central. Widespread assholery. Typical Republicans...

You must be talking about Glen Beck Trip....am I right?

That shit was funny as hell. I lmao at that idiot. ;D ;D ;D

If these stupid ass repubs would pull their head out of their ass and support our President, it would help alot, imo. We need positive support for our President right now, not negative political bashing at every chance they get. They fucking lost, get over it and help the President fix what you, (republicans and Bush), fucked up.

Regarding the topic, interesting observastion, fair enough because its true - however, I hope you're spreading that anger over it towards everyone - his OWN supporters are a big factor. Yeah, the "media" does their share of it, I mean they're hung up on labels as well, I personally can't stand that, but I sure see a lot of lame ass t-shirts being sported around town (I say "lame ass" because I've NEVER seen large groups of fans/folks wearing t-shirts with the image of the current prez plastered on them - suddenly its hip to do this? Wonder why...),  so surely you're equally upset with that since they don't say "President Obama" either?

A good point... One thing I think that most people aren't getting is that for a lot of people, Obama means the end of a lot of things that seemed like "eternals" in politics. I think that's why you see the T-shirts and crap. A lot of educated Americans like the concept of having someone smart, respectable and competent in office. This country hasn't seen that in a LONG, LONG time.

A lot of brown Americans of all shades also like the fact that he's not a white dude.

I personally hate "Cult Of Personality" bullshit like all the stickers and shirts - he's just a man, and he's far from perfect (as he is willing to admit, unlike some politicians).

President Obama...still surprises me when I hear it.

Yep. You have to toss out any preconscrewed notions about the guy as well as the silly "party loyalty" shit and just listen to the man....he pretty much BLEW ME AWAY at that G20 summit, at least on the give and take random question stuff, the guy is sharp, PERIOD. Now lets just hope he and his team can square things away.

Am I mad or whatever, irritated, over the t-shirts and stuff....no.

Why? Well, because black people have the right to be proud of a black man gaining this highest office. So he is Obama, a black man, first....and he's President also. I bet there are even white folk that are proud that we've come to this point in time. I understand him being a sort of celebrity to some, a standout, a history maker.

But to politicians and political experts, if experts exist in politics, I don't understand it. Because he is or did make history, and he's President. And it really pisses me off when repubs do it the most. Kinda shocked at the lack of respect from liberals.

So no, the t-shirts are very understandable. In fact, I may get a few myself. Just to piss off the religious rednecks in Alabama. ;D

Glad to hear you don't care about the looney t-shirt craze. I doubt you'd actually affect the day of any Alabamy hicks with your shirt though - you
may make a couple of people roll their eyes and chuckle to each other, lol, quilty of that one myself! You say its a pride thing, I think its also an ego thing (amongst others), but thats just my 0.2.

Anyway, hope I didn't offend ya with my comment, seems like I might have - all I intended was to suggest you/whomever keep an even keel on the label thing. Honestly, when I read the OP, I dunno, first image that entered my mind was a guy strolling through a dept store spotting another guy wearing an "OBAMA" t-shirt and immediately he thinks to himself *eh, kewl!*, but that same man hops in his car and turns on the radio or goes home and fires up the tv, see's one of those anrgy white republican pundits speaking and using the label of "OBAMA", even if they're not criticizing him and suddenly the mentality is *what an asshole, how dare you merely call him Obama?* You say that's different and not right...not me, I think something else might be going on there when that happens, if you're angered by one but don't mind the other, heh, think its transparent as could be and lame.

Don't make too much of it, he's in, he's doing a fine job and I promise, even he himself probably doesn't give a fuck what people call him, fellow politicians, pundits, normal guy in Wal-Mart wearing the t-shirt, etc. Really, being a mixed man, I'm sure he's long since heard it all and could care less what people say about that stuff...willing to bet he'd tell you the same.

No, you didn't offend me at all.

I don't feel President, is a lable. I hate lables also. I think it's a show of respect. Kinda like saying sir to your Dad.

But if your gonna wear a t-shirt, what better one to wear than one showing support for your President? Much better than one supporting a damn football team or player, for sure. It's kinda exciting to see our country support this President in this way.

The thing that makes me laugh most that our Republicans use to pick on Obama is their "he uses a teleprompter" bullshit.

Sure, he uses a teleprompter, but have you ever seen him actually field questions? He does it more deftly and answers more completely and intelligently than any politician I've seen in years, and shockingly, admits he doesn't know when he doesn't have a good answer for a question.

Look at how he answers questions: He makes the right wing pundits' hero (Dubya) look like an arrogant retarded kid in comparison.

I think that anything that enables the President to say exactly what he wants to say, as in Pres. Obama, is good. I actually think this is Obama's goal. Not so much speeches written for him, and performed by the Pres, sometimes poorly as in Bush.

The economy or country is so sensitive right now, after Bush, even reasonable mistakes scares people.
