Apparently, after Nancy said we must past this so we can find out what's in it, well
I agree that the rollout has not gone well, but man, that is a very opinionated and slanted article.  I can't even tell what's an actual fact from it, but the little I know of this, it's putting very heavy spin on things.  For example, the phrase "the government, having cancelled Americans' old health plans"--is not only untrue, but biased at best.  The truth is, the government stipulated the basic coverage required for a healthcare plan to conform with the law, and then the insurers, who often didn't have to change much to come into compliance, instead cancelled plans, with the idea that they could then make much more money by offering new and revamped plans.

And the stipulation of this article--the the government is asking insurers to give people more time to pay their first month premium?  Is that really a shadowy and evil "government takeover?"

Are you also going to post the positive spin version of this article?  Or at least, one that adheres somewhat to the facts and could therefore be called "news?"
Who's Avik Roy (who wrote this article), anyway?

Avik Roy is a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and the author of the Forbes blog The Apothecary. He has stated he is an "outside adviser to the Romney campaign on health care issues." He is a contributor to National Review Online, where he was described as a member of Mitt Romney's Health Care Policy Advisory Group.

Thank you, Wikipedia.  Sounds like a real unbiased source for news.
Well, sounds to me like he should be an expert on this subject, if thats even possible.

We agree on the point of the article. And that was my point. The rollout has been shit. Thats putting it nicely. And the problem is that after the old policies were cancelled, the new policies were unafordable to those people that were dropped. So, they have to go to the exchange, where they can't, through no fault of their own, obtain insurance because of the fucking disaster of a rollout and all that entails. So, after they completely fuck people out of insurance, through complete fault of our wonderful government, they then instruct the insurance to reinstate the old policies. Holy shit.  ;D  It's crazy. So far, their is no positives concerning Obamacare.

The problem is, no one new what was in this law when they signed it, just as Nancy said. And now that it's started, no one knows how to work it either, apparently. This simply wasn't a well thought out plan. It was just pieced together by the Klan named Congress and Senate. 2 Klans actually.

I just hope our next President gets this shit fixed so we can see if it will work or not. I truly hope it does. I'm also sick of hearing about it.  :D
Yeah, She should have it ironed out in a hurry.  ;D
Thats fine. She did try to reform or whatever healthcare herself, for Billy, right. Maybe she can.

But I do get that feeling, when you get in a argument with a woman, that tells you inside... you better exit before you pop this bitch one time. She sickens me to the core. her and Nancy.  ;D

I disagree with a lot of your points here.  But the main one, that insurance is unaffordable for those for whom its been cancelled, tells me you just haven't done your homework.  You can make up to 450% of the poverty level and get your coverage at least partially reimbursed.  If your plan was cancelled because it was a crappy cheap plan, like one that cost $50 a month and offered nothing, then yeah, it's going to cost more to get real insurance.  But if you had a good plan, and your insurance company cancelled it, odds are it's not going to cost more to replace it.  For the real low wage earners, it's going to be free or very low cost.  For people like me, I would pay more for insurance under the exchanges.  But this law is not meant for me, and people like me, who have good, high quality insurance.  This is meant for people who have no insurance or very weak policies.

The goal is to get those people insured, while at the same time getting people who couldn't previously get insurance to be covered.  I think this law is going to succeed.  Hell, it's a little premature to call the law a failure when the insurance hasn't even kicked in yet, just because the website sucked.  I'm betting in five years no one is going to remember that the website didn't use to work, and a lot more people will have insurance who didn't before, and the pricing and market will be working fine.
I didn't say it was a failure. I said their were no positives about this law.

I bet you, any amount of money, that this redneck from Alabama with just under 2 years of college and no degree, could do a better job in the same amount of time and had 80% of people's approval at least....... than this shit called Obamacare and the idiots that penned this beast. Hell, damn near anyone could. And thats the problem with congress and senate. Damn near anyone could do a better job than those crackhead whores.

I mean damn. If we can't get better representation than this, I'm fucking scared. I don't just mean government today, or Obama, I'm talking in general including Bush and company and the Clintons, all the scum sucking liars.

Hmmmm. I think I have a bad attitude today. I know what will fix it.  ;) ;D 8-)

just shows how much misinformation is out their. I went to get my stress test done today. Cost me $635 out of pocket. The test cost $5000. Unbelievable. A damn stress test cost 5K. A MRI cost 6K.

The lady said they could bill me later or I could pay now. She said since Obamacare started, they can't offer a payment plan anymore. Don't now that it's Obamacare's fault but damn.

This thing is fucking crazy. No one knows what the fuck is going on with healthcare these days. It's a shame.

Good thing they don't do the stress test after they hand you the bill?  Damn
maybe the bill is part of the test... ;)  ;D

They do. they get their money now, before they do anything. I was thinking, holy shit... I just paid $635 to take a ride on a goddamn treadmill and void the rights to pictures of my heart.  ;D
ironsheep — Dec 23, 2013maybe the bill is part of the test... ;)  ;D

Yeah, they want to get their money up front in case you don't survive the test.  ;)

635 on a 5k bill... 12%.  You must still be paying your deductible.  I'm not really sure I understand the "pay now, or pay later, but no payment plan because of Obama."?  So they let you pay now, or later?  Sounds rough, dude.

I've got health insurance that's pretty damn good, but we have no problem spending $2500 a year (that's how much I take out for my flex plan and I spend it every year).  No one said it was free because you have insurance... you can always forgo the insurance, pay a couple hundred bucks in penalty to the government, and then pay $5000 instead of the $635...

I have a $3000 deductible. I'm not complaining about the % I had to pay, I'm bitching about the cost of a stress test. It's crazy.

In the past you could set up a payment plan with, for example, the hospital that did my stress test. If you didn't have the $635, you could pay $50 a month, for example. They don't do that anymore at this hospital and the lady blamed Obamacare for it.

Pay now, $635, or they send you a bill in a month, for $635.
Think about how insane that is.  They hook you up to an EKG, then make you run on a treadmill for 15 minutes.  Then a doctor looks at the chart and sees whether there's any big lumps in it.

An EKG is just a fancy oscilloscope... mine cost $100.  You can pay a gym twenty bucks a month and run all you want on a treadmill.  And a computer program with 20 lines of code could analyze your EKG and tell you if you need to worry.  For $5k... fuck.
Thats pretty much it. Now they did take pictures of my heart with my heart rate up. But thats not $5k worth of work. Took about 35 minutes. No meds at all. They took the pictures with the same instrument they use to take pictures of a baby when a woman is pregnant. No new technology what so ever.
