i hope so. just one of those can take in almost 10x more oil in a day than is spilling out. if the other 2 ships make it over and all three operate they could turn the tide quickly
Now they need to get it running, get it to in the primary spot where the oil is surfacing, and they need to stop soaking the spill with dispersants. Crossing fingers...
the saudi's had a similar albeit smaller spill and this technology returned the environment back to the way it was (within reason). hopefully the same thing will happen here
The first gulf war spill was enormous - not sure what happened with that.
