Ok, similar to the last question, for those of you who have to do development work (Windows, Web, C#, databases, etc), what specs would YOU look for in an easy to carry to stupid meetings laptop?

As well as supplying positive recommendations, are there any brands or technologies to avoid?

Needless to say, I would be loading one of my licensed versions of Windows XP Pro on it since even Intel refuses to use Vista except for cross-platform testing.
A huge amount of RAM.
I've installed Visual Studio 2008 ( to develop in C# + .NET for Windows Mobile Pocket PC). My machine has 512 M0 RAM only. I can't get the Emulator to work, I'm obliged to use my MioP350 in remote mode to test & debug...... and the compilation is slOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW....
Currently looking for either adding RAM, or changing for a brand new machine......But NOT a laptop
