Ok, I'm looking for a really good (yet free ;) ) FTP program that looks and acts like Explorer on my PC.  My old hosting was actually pretty usable to log in and upload multiple files, maintain directories, etc.  While 1and1 is pretty nice, their "Webfiles" is pretty lame compared to what I'm used to.

It's time for me to do more than just ftp large files from a script on my PC anyway, so I'm wondering if any of you have a program you would recommend.  I'd love to be able to do mass commands like selecting all files in a directory, moving entire folders, etc.

1and1 DOES come with a free download of WiseFTP v3.0, but I haven't tried it yet (they're already at v5.0 if you pay for the program).  Before I pollute my machine with another program I figured I'd ask if anyone else has another choice.

TIA!  :)
FileZilla is the best I've ever used.  And free.  You can drag and drop uploads.  The only thing it doesn't do is let you drag and drop download (grab a file from the FTP site and drag it to your desktop)  Not sure why they haven't implemented that.  But it's great at everything else, and risiculously fast, and has the smartest queueing system I've ever seen in an FTP program.
Cool, thanks!  I'll go look for that one.
Yes, I agree with that. Filezilla is by far the best FTP client (and server if you want to run your own ftp server) that I have ever used.
Thanks for the great recommendation!  I'm lovin' this program!

Have you TRIED this with the latest version?  I just selected all 1,120 files I have in a directory on one of my websites and dragged them to a new directory on my C drive.  It worked perfectly!  I've been meaning to save many of those files, but didn't want to download them and never got around to it until now (and I only did it now as a test).
