My work has furnished me another laptop with Vista on it.

2 problems.

First the clpiboard thing that appears after I try to post each time. Craig has helped me with this a few times. I can't remember how he said to fix it.

Second, after I type in a post, like half way down, the post box starts blinking and I can't see what I'm typing. this makes my misspelled words even worse. ;D

Probably a bad description of my problems, but any help would be appreaciated!!!!!!!!!
Actually, you have THREE problems.  The first is you have Vista, but let's talk about the other two.

First, the clipboard issue.  Here's the solution:

Go to Tools -> Internet Options.

Go to Security tab.

Select “Internet” zone, then click on “Custom level
Thanks man. I'm suprised you didn't charge me for the clipboard advice.  ;D
The bill's in the mail.  ;)
Should have known ya jobless bitch. ;D ;D

How the fuck can we fix #2. There has to be a fix. Damn. None of my other computers do it.

Oh wait, Apple. ;) There shit just works. ;)

;D
I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but why the fuck anyone would use Internet Explorer unless they absolutely had to is beyond me.
Maybe if FireFox and Chrome stopped letting spyware onto my system?

I use four different browsers (all of the mentioned above plus Safari) when testing my website design and those two are always putting something on my system even though I rarely use them.
User error... I've never picked up spyware from Firefox or Chrome.  Since both programs actually allow less access to your system internals than IE, I think this is an "urban legend" argument.

Or, as my IT guy likes to say, "the browser didn't allow spyware onto your computer. You did."

Because I like it, overall, the best of the bunch. That's why. And I'm not gonna have 47 browsers or whatever you call um, on my machine with specific uses for each one.

I've tried all of them at some point and IE seems to work best for me, overall. I never get any virus or spyware crap or any problem at all with IE paired with Norton 360, which I think is the best Norton ever.
Sounds like your IT guy is a real laugh to have around Charger.  He's right though, it was my error for using Firefox and Chrome...
It's just reality, Craig.  Ask any IT guy who supports a group of 50 or more people if it's the browser or the user that picks up spyware.

Hook, I can't help you.  It's kind of like complaining to your mechanic that your American-made SUV doesn't get good gas mileage.  There are a lot of good browsers.  I wouldn't say IE is one of them.
I do use Safari on my Mac if that makes you feel better.
