I resisted as long as I could but caved this week and bought an iPod Touch (8gig). Really nifty device!
A question about adding apps: The first one I was gonna add was "TextNow"....supposedly unlimited free texting and pic use. Anyway, after logging into the iTunes store and attempting to download/add it, I get a message stating my "Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes Store" and it ulimately wants my CC info. Is this simply a one time setup thing to make all future purchases quicker? I mean this particular app is clearly makred "free" so they're surely not charging me for this. Will I get this request every time I try to add a free app? I would think they would wait until I tried/needed to make an actual first purchase that required FUNDS before wanting this info?
thanks
edit: BAH. Disregard! :-[ I read the fine text a little closer, lol...clearly states the CC info is required to finalize the account but you're never charged until you make actual $$ purchases.
