Wasn't sure where exactly to put this, so I figured 'Computers' was close enough.
Don't know how many of you guys are into video games, but Spore was released this Sunday. I picked up a copy and got addicted right away.
It's a game designed by the guy who created the SiMs. The game is basically you starting out life as a single celled organism in a pool filled with other organisms. And you evolve by eating/surviving into bigger and more complex organisms. You eventually evolve enough to go onto dry land and enter a tribal age. The whole game is like this. You keep evolving past tribes, into civilizations, and eventually into a space age where you can explore your entire galaxy. It's a really neat game and I think some of you guys should look into it. :)

Just remember that some of the people you're talking to haven't progressed past being a single cell organism in real life yet. ;) ;D

oh mother fucker, Ive waited so long for this game that i missed the release date, hahahaha. I first heard about this game in 05! How do you like it? I really wish they had made a console version. Not a big PC gamer.
yeah looks great, my kind of game.
Oh man, I'm so addicted to it. It's so much fun. You decide what kind of being you evolve into. Someone who unites or someone who kills everything he sees. And you can custom build everything, from creatures to cars and buildings and space ships. I just reached a certain point in the game where I have the ability to bring life to a dead planet or blow one up completely. So much fun. ;D
im off to best buy today to grab it. :D :D :D like i need another video game.. LOL i still have 2 ps3 games in the plastic wrap. ;D
after reading reviews and finding out EA put some seriously fucked up DRM on the game, I decided to pass. you can only install the game 3 times then you have to call a number? and if you uninstall it that doesnt add one install back..
FUCK EA!!!!
THEY CAN SHOVE A SPORE UP THERE ASS!
Not surprisingly, there are right-wing nutjobs protesting this game because it's all about evolution.
Yes, I wish I was joking too...

FYI this is a parody site. :D
Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never gonna give you up. 22. Never gonna let you down. 23.Never gonna run around and desert you. 24. Never gonna make you cry. 25. Never gonna say goodbye. 26. Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you. 27.Never truly believe anything you read on the Internet. There will always be cases of Poes Law.
;D ;D ;D ;D
Edit: Oh, after all I go through to get iLok'd software to work on my machine, securom games are the least of my worries. And at 750 gigs of hard drive space, there's no reason for me to ever uninstall/reinstall, save a problem so severe that I'd have to format my drive.

that may be the case but I will not purchase a game with that type of DRM, no how no way. besides its not getting the greatest reviews. it appears they didnt tie the different game types together well. Lots of Hype for a mediocre game. Little big Planet is the game im waiting for.
