I would like to have this section be a couple of things.....debate....and just discussion.  IF you do debate it is NOT enough to merely rabble on your fucking opinion.  No one gives a shit about your opinion.  Back it up with some fucking references.  Don't just say, "I heard in the Bible this thing about this thing."  Get off your lazy ass and actually quote it so we can all see.  There are tons of Bible quote places on  the net so you have no damn excuse.

Now if someone comes NOT to debate....but purely ask a question.  Don't be a cocksucker and beat the fuck out of them.  I don't mind someone getting a little hot under the collar but attacking someone due to a different belief system no matter how stupid YOU think it is, is fucking unacceptable.  

You can MAYBE get away with calling an idea stupid from time to time...but you better back it up as to WHY you think it's fucked up.  Just saying something is stupid because you think it is only makes you look like a fucking infant peon.

I don't think rules need to apply anywhere. That's the great thing about the other place. If you have rules here, then sooner or later their everywhere and that just sucks.

If your debating politics or religion, you'd just better be wearing a bullet proof vest....same as in real life. Why pull your punches if it adds to the discussion? Within reason, and that's where you come in.

Jumping on someone and cussing them with no addition to the conversation shouldn't be tollerated.

That right there is the gist of what I want down here.  There is no need to say, "Hooky you are fucking stupid for thinking X"  If you disagree with a point of view.....show your counter and leave it at that.  

You KNOW I don't mind cussing.  Cuss like a fucking sailor for all I care.  

I would hope that we could have REAL good discussions without having to resort to just being mean.  That's the shit I don't want.  IF you disagree.....great....but be man enough to SUPPORT why.

Think of it like constructive criticism.  It IS totally OK with me if you think a guy is fucking loony.  You don't have to TELL me that he's fucking loony.....just PROVE that he's fucking loony by offering up a counter argument that shows that the dude is fucking wrong as wrong can be.  You can be tactful in these types of situations.

I'm NOT worried about differing opinions.  Just note that opinions aren't worth much if you are debating an issue.

Listen....I understand why you understand that religion is silly.  However, to a religious person they can feel very connected to that religion and as such there is a truth TO THEM in what they believe.  

I say, instead of calling the religious person an ignorant fuck.....press your view points and support them with your observable world truths.  Try to understand where they are coming from with their unobservable world truths.  Trust me....you can crack the veneer and get through.

Sorry I don't think the Bible or any of the scriptures is relevant, so I will abide by the no rules statement. Read the Mud Shadows chapter of The Active Side Of Infinity by Carlos Castaneda, that is more real to me than any of the scriptures. The scriptures are nothing more than "myth" in it's purest sense. In other words there is no one alive today that has witnessed these events so the scriptures are all "mythical". Put that in your pipe and smoke it. wiggers

Now that we have science to explain the universe, we can more'n likely discount the parts of the scriptures that try and explain scientific phenomenon. However that said, the parts that do focus on the God phenomenon may in fact include good insight. You see I have nothing against religion at all. In fact I am super happy that there are religions to help control the unthinking populace. Like it or not humanity is in it's very beginnings of consciousness evolution. We have a long way to go, and in fact in a few thousand years there may be some breakthrough to actually explain the religious thinking in scientifically provable terms.
