What happened to the Tide?  :D
They got that ass whooped. That's what happened. By OS of all teams.
Oregon is better than "The" OSU by about a mile.  It will probably be a classic Oregon game, close, with Oregon possibly even losing at the half, and then they will just score unrelenting unanswered points for the whole second half.
I agree. Same thing probably would have happened if Alabama played them. I think Alabama would have beat OS if they still played old school football. (run heavy) Our second string RB averaged 7+ yards a touch and they just quit doing it. I think Lane Kiffen probably cost us the game and kept us in it at the same time. If that's possible.
I think it's funny that Kiffin gets blamed.

Usually when a team drops a Forty burger on you, I'd think your Defense is a bit suspect. ;D

Well, they were within a touchdown.  Oregon outscored FSU by 39... that Floriday State defense is far more suspect to me.

Well, I won't deny that, but I would guess that at least half of those 39 were the direct result of turnovers.

I think a Championship team should be able to hold their opponent to under 30 points.

There is only one of the four that meets that mark.

The score was 21 - 6 Alabama.  I went to take a shit or something, came back and it was 34 -28 Ohio State.  Defense went to sleep.  :D

I have no real love for any of them.  I'm an ACC guy, but it sure as hell ain't FSU.  I like Virginia Tech and they sucked the big one this year, though they did beat Ohio State in their house.

Kinda the point of my statement. Run the football, old sec style. Alabama football really. Eat the clock. Keep the defense off the field. That would have been my plan, especially in the second half. But, they decided at some point they were doing to pass all night long no matter what, we ain't running it.  >:( We're only getting 7 yards a carry with our second string rb. Lets see if we can fuck this up by passing every down.  >:(

They could have put 4 guys on Cooper all night. The other receivers can't catch. They think a pattern is something on their Mothers Sunday dress.
Needless to say, the people around here are going Duck crazy.  It's nice to have a decent local team to watch even if I never went to college up here.  Although I did make a college football team, I didn't get any of the classes I was supposed to take so I dropped off the team and transferred to a different school (where I took four years in two which left no time for anything else!).  So I don't have any allegiance that I feel compelled to support.  It's kind of nice!

The last time the Ducks had a National Championship chance (2011) they weren't as strong (in all ways - defense, body strength and will to overcome) so Auburn just killed them.  Games like Michigan State and the second game against Arizona showed that they had a lot more mental toughness than before.
Just think if DTR was here. The hell we would catch would be very painful.  ;D
