I've put $240 down for my 10 band EQ (also MXR) but now I've got to wait 4 weeks; so I took home a CC instead.

I'm using a Legacy (yeah; I know.... but it was $70) digital delay; but I can't wait to do an A/B with this little guy....

Any thoughts??

I also learnt today how to use the Boss NS2 four cable system through the loop.  Absolute quiet now on my JVM - aruably one of the highest gain monsters out there......

Cool. Nice choice. Never tried one yet but the CC always seems to be near the top of most "analog delay pedal suggestions" for the best bang 4 buck, especially if you're after some "grease" to add on lead lines, soloing, etc. I'm about th_is close to picking one up this week myself. The GC near me also happens to have a used Maxon AD900 that I've heard good things about as well, I'll be able to compare the two, will probably pick up the better of them.

CC is a very good little pedal for the $$.

Derrick, the AD900 is definitely worth checking out.  One of my buddies has one and it sounds GREAT!!

OK then GP, they now have a Deluxe Memory Man used as well, though their price is gay for "used", $299, WTF? They're $319 new, lol. Anyway, of those 3 (Carbon Copy, EHDMM, Maxon AD900), what in your opinion (if you've heard them all in action that is) is the front runner? Keep in mind this is for adding a little ambience on lead type stuff, no need for digital, exacting "Edge" or "Cathedral" sorta repeating delays. Thanks.

I'm going to be rolling in a new delay soon, so interested in replies here as well.

My buddy who has the Maxon had a Carbon Copy before that for what it's worth.  Fidelity on the Maxon is a little better.

That price on the EHDMM does seem high for used, unless it was modded by Keeley or Analogman.  But it is a nice delay.  Timmons uses 2 of them on different settings.

Well, the Maxon was gone when I got there saturday afternoon. You snooze you lose :-/. I did sample both the Memory Man and the CC though and honestly, I thought the CC was on par with the MM and probably would've picked it up, I mean half the size, half the price but equal sounds for my needs.

Then I spotted something else I wan't - tried out the BBE "Wah"...BOUGHT IT. Killer pedal, even with a crappy guitar/amp. I can't remember the last time I did a 'blind buy' on gear, I like reading up at least a little bit, but this was easy. Turns out after checking it out when I got home, nothing but positive thoughts online, won one of those Guitar Player shootout thingys, editors pick, etc. True hard-wire bypass, adjustable Q, great vintagey wah sounds. Happy.  :)

The delay pedal will be there, might even see another used gem show up soon. Patience...
That's the way it goes brother.

That's kind of how I feel about the Carbon Copy compared to the DMM.  Now EHX makes smaller versions, such as the Memory Boy, Deluxe Memory Boy and Memory Toy that would fit on a pedal board better.

Picked up the CC today. Sounding even better at home through the QR. The subtle high end warmness it has is having a real sweet effect on the semi bright Splawn amp. A nice gear match.

My massive pedal collection is complete!  ;D

Derek, is that a Wolfie dead center with the D-Tuna on it?  If so, when did you snag that?

Yeah, sure is, a '99 Wolfgang Standard Deluxe...basswood body/AA maple archtop, birdseye neck/fretboard, Gotoh pearl tuners, stainless steel frets. It's a beastly axe. Super playable and a tone monster. Picked it up several months ago.

The quick story is I just wanted to thin down my number of guitars, only keeping the most often used toys. Sold the Ibanez Prestige and Legacy Strat. Problem was, I did better than I expected ($) and the following weekend while goofing off around town I stepped in GC. Oops. I spotted this Wolfgang on the highest spot in the store right away. Has not a single mark or flaw on it, may as well been new. I got the feeling someone there wanted it, I mean you're not gonna sell it unless people can reach and sample the damn thing! I was skeptical as the employee got it down for me, the neck looked massive and I don't have big hands, already been dealing with stiffness for years. I couldn't have been more wrong, it played like gravy to me, more playable than even an Ibanez. Since I sold two the week before I still felt like I would be ahead if I decided to pick one back up, lol...I am weak. I bought it.

yeah, didn't know you have that one.  I love mine.  GREAT rock guitar!
That's one of the nice ones.  Birdseye neck and the whole 9 yards!!  That is indeed a nice score!!

Thanks.  :)

No way, Howie! Didn't know you have one of these! Never saw a pic (?) Nice. I've already recorded mine. I have this thing lately about wanting to use all my newest gear in recordings - went back and re-tracked the rhythms for a recent tune just to get the Wolfy in a 'mix' rather than just raw amp stuff. Next tune I think I'll swap things around just for fun and use the So-Cal for rhythms and the Wolfgang on leads.

I had that same Wolfie in black, but I traded it to a guy in Andy's forum for two guitars (both now sold) because the neck at the 12th fret was just WAY too chunky for my liking.  Other than that the guitar rawked!  I ended up with a Music Man Axis that was pretty similar but I LOVED the neck.  When I had my customs created, the specs from the neck off the Axis was what we used.

Just ordered this thing a couple minutes ago! It was between the BBE and the Budda wah pedal, went with the BBE. Pretty excited to get it. Also looking for a pair of good analog delays myself. Would like to get two Memory Man pedals but, sheesh, over $300 each. Might go with the Carbon Copy pair.
