I recently put together the BYOC Classic Phaser . I've never done much soldering, and it wasn't that hard to put together, I did mix up to resistors, a 4.7k and 470k, which I had to unsolder an replace. This is BYOC clone of th MXR phase 90 script model. I have the newer version, but it never sounded the same since I had it repaired, and I've got to say that the BYOC sounds a lot better than my old one ever did. Unlike the MXR Phaser, the BYOC has a depth control, turn it full to the right and it is the same as the MXR.
This is one great pedal if you like phasers, which I do with a clean sound, not too much just enough to provide a bit of motion, but has the ability to getty weird if thats what you like. A true bypass pedal that won't suck you tone, can be run up to 18volts. It's a lovely warm phaser that is very round and smooth. Bottom line, this pedal is well worth looking at if your afte a quality phaser.
I've just received the optical compressor kit, I'm going to put it together tonight. I'll try to get some sound bits later.
