I've sold the LP for this '91 Strat Plus Dlx ! It's a nice sounding guitar and it's perfect despite it's 18 years old !
Oh...it's the one on the right.. :D
Ciao !
Marco
Wow, from one extreme to another but nice move (sorry LP lovers)!! Looks sweeeeet. Been thinking "Strat" myself lately, though if I do, I'll go the affordable way with a cheaper one and upgrade as need be, lol.
Congrats on your new guitar. (=
nice 8-)
Does is sound much different from your other strat?
Thanks !
You're right Kabala...from one extreme to another.
It seems confusion....the sad truth is the lack of money! :D
If I want a Strato I've to sell the LP...and vice-versa.... :)
Cin, are you referring to the orange one in the picture ?
If so, this is a "Vintage V6 Icon". They're not exactly the same due different woods and electronics.
The V6 is more "vintage" sounding, more snappy with enhanced highs (not in a bad way). The Strat (this Strat..) is warmer than the usual Strat sound.
Compared with the Deluxe Strat I've had few months ago, it sounds (..for what I can remember) pretty much the same..maybe with more volume and harmonics because of the Lace sensors.
Ciao!

Oh no, Marco!
Hehe, I've been there many times!
At first, I always was a Strat guy (although I always used humbuckers).
Then in 2006 I bought my first Les Paul.
I got tired of it & sold it, then a few months later I bought another Les Paul.
Sold it again after a few months and bought a Strat (from Chris Dearth).
Then I sold one of my earlier Strats and bought a Les Paul Studio!
Haha, whatever, I think I settled now. 3 Strats and 1 Les Paul at home these days.
The LP Studio is my favorite now, but knowing me that might change in a few months...
Anyway, what made you sell yours?
Didn't like the sound or playability? :)
Ciao!
looks nice, Marko. How do you like that nut?
Cool axe Marco. Good luck with it, Ottieni tutte le signore umido con essa facendo del Blues (Get the ladies all wet with it doing the Blues)

DreamTheaterRules — May 14, 2009looks nice, Marko. How do you like that nut?
I'm sure he thinks you're ok. ;) ::)
;) Thanks !
I liked my LP Studio very much, but it wasn't the right guitar for the band I'm playing in...so I traded it for my new old '91 strat.
About the new strat: I like the nut. It seems it would accept only 10-46 string gauge but this is the set I normally use. What sounds strange to my ears are the PU's. Playin thru the clean amp channel they sounds like...well...single coils. :)
Played thru the lead channel they are darker than usual single coils...specially the neck PU.
Yesterday I've sold the LionHeart too...another good piece of gear is gone..but 5 watts were not so much for gigs :)
Now I've purchased a new Laney Lc-50 112 (....I've never had a Laney in the last 47 years, now this is the second one in a month !!) . Great clean channel and good lead channel. 50 watt, all tube, 2 channels with separate eq and spring reverb.
Here a little audio clip I've recorded using my new gear (Strat with Lace sensors and th Lc-50 112) ...nothing special...it's the usual boring 3 chords ballad :)
Ciao !
Marco
Marco,
sounds good, as always! I'm not saying tone is in the fingers, I'm just saying your fingers are good!
Did you go a little Jazzalistic there just after the 1:00 mark? :)
:D
Thanks for listening !
I forgot to cut the last part... :D :D
Ciao !
Marco
It's nice to see that guys are going back to the Strats. Purty guitars.
