The Watering Hole

When my son started drum lessons last year I bought him an Alesis electronic kit.  Whilst very good, he is at a stage now where the electronic kit really is holding him back owing to the lack of bounce and feel and all the other good stuff.  So we need a real kit.  The problem with a real kit has always been the amount of space needed for it, until I discovered the TRAPS acoustic kit (recommended by Oliver's drum teacher).

So I have just ordered this kit for him:

and a set of these http://www.thomann.de/gb/zildjian_zbt_4_holiday_set_beckensatz.htm  cymbals.

And here's a couple of youtube videos of the TRAPS acoustic set in action

Absolutely amazing considering there are no shells.....freed at last from the lifeless feel of the electronic kit.

Freed at last from the silence and serenity of a virtual drum set too!  ;) :D

Not too worried about the noise.  Our house is detached and both immediate neighbors are hardly ever at home !
Wow, it's a kit, without shells!
