I have been looking for a good delay pedal for... oh, five years now? But I am never really happy with what I find... the cheapest pedals sound like ass, the expensive pedals sound great but never have the right features, and are... expensive.
Until now... I think this is it, the EH Memory Man with Hazarai. Sick features, killer sound, all sorts of tweaks, looping, it even stores presets. Anyone seen one?
Check out this youtube review... check out the sick range of sounds on this thing. New from around $215, on ebay from around $180. Awesome?

I saw that, pretty cool! What is the Hazarai??
Any relation to Hattori Hanzo?? ;D
cgtrox 8-)
Not sure what Hazarai means, but if I was going to venture a guess, I would say "fucking awesome."
Check this one out, from EH. It's a sales vid, but it does play in stereo, so you get to hear the real range of the pedal.

Check out the looping section around 5 minutes-- check out how they can change the delay mode before adding to the loop--and check out the part where they are both sitting there staring at it, jiving on the playback... awesome.
One really cool feature that I just caught on this vid is that you can have the repeats separate from the repeat decay... on 90% of delay pedals, you get repeats that fade as they play out... on this one, you can have 10 repeats all at the exact same volume, or they can get quiter... or louder! Where the fuck has this pedal been hiding all my life?
Wow, that IS fucking cool! Not sure if you'd ever get anything accomplished though, you could sit there for hours playing with all the stuff it could do! LOL! :)
Another one to check out is the Eventide Timefactor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JOLnTT0mh0
Relatively affordable considering normal Eventide prices. ;) :D

Heh, a quick check shows that the highest price is $399 and the lowest price is... also $399! Guess that takes the guesswork out of what it costs, eh?
$399 is way more than I am willing to pay for a delay pedal. Besides which, the EH seems to have the more interesting and whacked-out features of the two. I've always loved EH for the creativity they put into their pedals... So, pedal ordered.
Holy beautiful sound!
