sounds pretty good.  Street price of $62???  Sounds better :)
That's what the advertising claims, although it's not been confirmed by a teardown yet on any of the sites I frequent. I've been thinking about buying one to investigate, although EHX uses so much surface mount stuff nowadays it's pretty hard to decipher what they're doing.
It's even got a switchable buffer!  No magical unicorn fairy dust diodes, though, but that's going to remain the one selling point for the originals on the overpriced secondhand market.  Assuming this is actually an accurate Klon circuit, EHX is selling it for about three times the cost of their parts.  I sell it for twice my parts cost, but my cost is about 3-5x higher than theirs, as they can buy parts by the 100,000.

This is not going to hit Klon very hard, as they keep their product stock artificially low, but it's going to kill all the "klone" makers.

I've still got a couple of boards I can build, at ~$100, with custom powdercoat, lifetime repairs, and other features including switchable diodes and optional gain boost... but after those are gone I probably won't restock parts for this.
Check this out...for either the over-the-top collector or maybe someone with money to burn....

I'm sure they'd let it go for 2k!  :o

I've never heard a Klon, not even a demo online, but dayum, for 2 grand I'd rather just pick up a handmade amp! Crazy.

  ;D ;D

Freakin' import fees alone were $310  ^^^^^^   :D
NOS... from 2009. heh.
for $2K I'd build a Klone, and buy a Fargen Mini Plex to use it with!  NUTSOID!
Makes me wish I hadn't sold mine when the going price was only $400.  LOL  I have a buddy in town building Klon Clones at the sound awesome (switchable buffer) and I can snag one for $150.  And it sounds every bit as good as the original.
In this market, $150 is way too much to pay for a Klon clone.  I saw people selling their Klones for $200 a few months ago and I laughed out loud... there are maybe $40 worth of parts in that and the build is not complicated.  The only reason I sell mine for $100 is that I do the custom powdercoat and swtichable options.

But with a $60 option out there, not many people are going to be getting $150 or $200 anymore for a Klon.

The pricing on the originals is ludicrous.  The only difference between a clone and a real Klon is the magic fairy dust diodes.  $2 worth of parts.
I wasn't impressed by the EH pedal.

I do own a charger built Klon Clone.....I love it.  It's a fab pedal.
