Anyone know how this sounds live and in person? I've seen the videos on you tube. Looks cool.

Well my kiddo is going to send me back the Duncan Twin Tube Classic overdrive stomp I gave him years ago, reducing the need for buying another overdrive stomp. I never liked it as much as my Nady's but it was serviceable, and decent sounding.
I think I am beginning to like the sound of the Duncan Twin Tube Classic as I adjust it. When I had it originally I had 2 Nady TD-1's which I have in 2 separate pedal boards., which I liked a bit better because I set the Twin Tube to give a different sound than the Nady's, but I am down to one Nady TD1 so I am trying to replicate the sound of the Nady and I am getting it pretty darn close considering the lack of the more varied tone controls on the Nady's. So the house pedal board gets the Duncan and my road pedal board retains the Nady. That means the Nady only comes out when I hit the road to northern Cal.
I pulled the trigger on a Freedman Motor City Drive pedal the other day. It came on Saturday morning Fedex. I just tried it out and it is a decent overdrive pedal. I still like the Nady TD1's I had as the best ones ever for my taste, but this new pedal comes close. It will go in my road pedal board within the next few days and we shall see what it sounds like in the full lineup of pedals. I do use a digital reverb pedal in the road board as well as some other stuff and I was too lazy to hook that all up for today as it will take some doing to put it in the pedal board.

The Friedman is in my Road Pedal Board. I like it enough to keep it. A little grwolee on the bass side of the guitar but smooth as silk like Santana on the higher notes. The verb pedal smoothed it out a bit as well, as I use a slight verb on all my tones so it seems ok, I like the Nady TD1 a bit more, and the Duncan twin tube even more but the Friedman is a keeper.
