I have just cured my current bout of GAS by ordering a Fender Super Champ X2 :) The only problem is, not in stock until early December :'(
Cool, interested to hear how that stacks up to the Super Champ V1. I know there's a lot of deep editing you can do, and also that they changed the models over to a different set from the one I have. IMO any "Champ XD" is going to sound better through a 12" than the 10".

I think the amp would sound better with a 12" as you said, however I only really want this for recording and I have always had better results recording a small speaker than a 1x12 for some reason. From all the demos I've seen it sounds like a great little amp with lots of tonal variety. I have to wait until early December for it though as for some reason they seem to be in short supply around these parts.

You are going to love that little amp. The tones on channel 2 are endless. And most (not all) are really good. The clean channel is righteous, and works very nicely with pedals (which is how I use mine).
Funny but annoying thing I went through....I ordered the footswitch pedal for mine back in April (mine did not come with one). I received it...no kidding....3 weeks ago.
Now that I have the pedal, my plan is to tweak one of the channel 2 preamps to work as my 'solo' channel (as it has independent volume control as well). I can free up patches on the RP500 that were previously used as 'solo' patches and consolidate the number of patches I use. Plus from my few times trying a couple of the channel 2 patches, my solo tone is going to be much, much better overall once I get it tweaked (using the tube driven overdrive on the amp VS my pedal's overdrive).
Good lord...I can go on for days on how many ways you can use this amp. Buy it. You will like it.
Johnny, is yours the newer one or the previous version?
I tried one a few years back, and it was nice, had that nice fender cleans, too bright for my old ears however, so I passed on it. Maybe I will go look at the new one. Can't hurt to go see...
Mine is the Super Champ XD, which I suppose is the older one. And it does sound much better through my 1x12 ext cab. Much better.
yeah, there are whole threads at The Gear Page about speaker replacement choices with guys who love these.
I'll have to wait a week before putting my hands on it ... with the hope that they will accept trade-in my VOX...

Well that's a nice surprise. Just had an email from Thomann, they now have the amp in stock much earlier than anticipated (should have been early December) and they have just shipped it today so I should get it in 3 or 4 days !

It arrived a couple of hours ago. First impressions, holy shit this is loud for such a tiny little box and also has tons of low-end if you want it too. I'm amazed to be honest.
Will do some micing up at the weekend and see how it goes. Plenty of tonal choices with this.

One of us is crazy and the other one's insane ....
There was something not quite right about this amp.....until I plugged in the usb and FUSE editing software. I was wondering why the response/touch wasn't quite there and then I found out when I looked at the amp voices (models) in the editing software...they all had the noise gate switched on. Why the fuck it would ship like that is beyond me. I fucking hate noise gates, they just suck away the touch and feel of an amp. Anyway, switched the noise gate off and also boosted up the presence a bit and the mids and now I have some very usable sounds. Also changed the cab models to the 2x12, makes for a better sound in my opinion with bite and clarity. Great little amp.
Arrived today! Head and cab version of the X2.

Sold the Vox and the POD HD is on e-bay. This amp sounds good at low levels too, so there's no need to play using the headphones (which I hate...)
So, back to the old UX-1 and SM57 ! :)
