It came in yesterday, but had a gig last night on the road. So didn't get to fool around with it until tonight.
Upon my first 15 minutes with it, my initial thoughts were....This-Is-Different.
I knew what to expect...per se....but I quickly learned this isn't a smile-and-dial amp. You have to learn the characteristics of the overdrives, and you have to learn the characteristics of the tube emulations. And how they sound with each other. And there are a lot of combinations to work with.
So I landed on a match of the Super Crunch OD and the EL34 tube combo that didn't suck, and had some nice variation within the gain of the OD. So for the 2 total hours I've spent with this rig (learning how to do what), the last 30 minutes were with this combo.
So then I loaded the 'Insider' software for deep editing and patch saving/sharing/circle jerking/etc.. Cool program. Installed everything needed for my Cool Edit Pro2 to be able to record it as well. I went straight to Cool Edit, and was able to record without having to ask all of you guys how to get my new amp to record. Thank Blackstar for that.
Anyhoo....After 3 hours total with the rig, getting the software in place, and doing a couple of quickies....here is what I have.
