The Watering Hole

Hey guys,
As the title implies, I'm looking for thoughts on using a model in the HD500 for bass.

With the XT, I never bought the Bass Pack. I used the Roland JC120 and it was always my go-to patch for Bass. It was nice and clean and did the job. I was wondering if anybody has tried plugging their Bass into the HD and what amp you thought worked pretty well.

I could always plug my XT in when I want to record Bass tracks but it would be nice if everything I needed was in the HD.

For recording I always record the bass completely dry and then I use an excellent free bass VST plugin.

I'd love to check it out Jon but my age-old software (Cakewalk) doesn't handle VST plugins. Only Direct-X. Yeah, I know...I should buy some new software but everything I have works just fine for me. Always has. If it ain't broke, why fix it, right?  ;D
