The Watering Hole

I now have all the parts to make a low wattage solidstate amp to drive my celestion G12H.

This is simply to be used with the PODHD500 with the cabs switched off.  The amp is a tiny solidstate hifi module (approx 1 inch square).  All I have to do is box it up and add the power supply (12 volts).  Will be interesting to see (or hear) what it sounds like.

It's not a guitar amp, it is a hifi amp running into a guitar speaker with podHD500 as input with cabs off.

Hopefully get a chance to wire it all up this weekend and will post pictures/clips etc when done.
Damn, I thought is was going to be a Ho-made amp.  LOL

When I played around with one at the store, it sounded pretty decent this way.  Can't wait to hear your thoughts.
ain't never seen no Ho make an amp :-)

The HD500 really is excellent for amp modelling but I'm still not sold on the cab simulations....I don't think anyone will ever get that right...I'm not that keen on impulse cabs either to be honest....the best way is just to stick a mic in front of a speaker...still the best way.
I actually preferred it without the cab sims also.  I plugged it into the return of a Classic 30, dialed up a Boogie, and turned off the cab sims and it was VERY respectful.  The feel was very good.
