Good step by step info on how to BIAS a Fender Super Champ XD/X2. I hear just re biasing it may do wonders for the amp. re tubing does extra special wonders I hear so I may get some new JJ tubes from Eurotubes, and do all of it in one fell swoop. Interesting... so maybe these things can be even better.
I don't know how much better the X2 can get, I have the X2 almost tweaked to sound as good as my Hot Rod Deluxe. The Lil Buddy speaker took me a long way towards that truthfully and Fuze took me the rest of the way. Now I have a grab and go "guitar in one hand amp in the other" which sounds almost as good as my pro amp. Now disclaimer, my HRD is not a stock item I changed it quite a bit to get it sounding like I want it to sound, and I only use the clean channel with tube stomps for overdrive. The X2 is 85% of the way to be that good and it weighs only a few pounds.
Just re-biased the X2 !
The cricuit board seems to be the same used in the XD...probably only the dsp board is different.
Bias wise: mine was set at 34mv, the document says 40mv for the 6V6's...I've regulated it at 38,3.
Differences after the regulation: a better high harmonics response. There's more "presence".
it took me only 15 minutes to complete the job, probably tomorrow I'll try the 40mv setting! :)

You are welcome Marco. I have not done it yet myself. My amp sounds so good as is I am wary to try it. If the tubes start to rattle I will buy some JJ's, and bias it with JJ anti rattle ones, as well as the Eurotubes anti rattle rings. My HRD has those and man oh man no tube rattle at all so far.

Se i tubi iniziano a tremare Io comprerò un po 'di JJ, e pregiudizi con JJ quelli anti-sonaglio, così come le Eurotubes anelli anti-sonaglio. Il mio HRD ha quelle e l'uomo o uomo senza sonaglio tubo a tutti finora.
