I know I started threads about both the Rebel 20 and the Tweaker when I bought them. I know that others have tried and flipped them. But I have to say again how please I am with these two amps. Both amps offer a great variety of very good tones. I had a chance to turn both up just a bit the other night and was getting all kinds of great tones out of them.
The Rebel 20 is currently plugged into the Emi Governor (V30 clone) and cleans and gains were both very good. The Tweaker is currently plugged into the Red Fang alnico. The cleans I'm getting with that combo are awesome. The "classic rock" style gains are great as well.
The Tweaker cab comes with a G12H in semi open-back cab. I'll probably setting on the Wizard (G12H copy) in my semi open-back Avatar with the Tweaker. Bruce said he chose that speaker/cab because it's the most versatile for all the different tone stacks. I'll plug it into the open-back cab with Red Fang for some clean stuff.
The Rebel 20 comes with a Lead 80. Mine will probably end up mainly with 2 1x12's with Private Jack (Greenback) and V30.
I still use stock tubes! Now the real fun starts as it has been said often that these amps both improve significantly with upgraded tubes. These amps, an OCD and one screamer-ish pedal, can do about anything and do it very well.
Money VERY WELL spent!
