it looks a bit like a kemper/dahlia to me... picturing a huge speaker at the bottom of that tub.
Let me guess, it can profile the sounds from the band Bread?  ;) :D

You need (knead) a lot of bread so you can then buy the profiling amp  ;D

That yours? Looks great. Is the firmware up to date? Think I'll hold out for the modded version anyway.

Looks great ! Isn't it too loud for home use ??

No it's not mine, I don't think it's available for shipping just yet, I had a demo from a distributor   ;)

It does rumble quite a bit. I have an isolation cabinet on order  ;D
and it's the only piece of guitar gear yet that's known to cause weight gain.
Hmmm... I'm not 100% convinced.
I would like to hear a clip...Single colis would sounds ok, but I think it's probably tuned for HUM-BAKERY...

All I know is, Lance won't be posting here anymore!

Oh come on, he's made of stronger stuff surely !

I actually think the Kemper is a great product, just don't like its looks !

He left really?

Happy Christmas and Happy New Year to all you wonderful guys.  ;D

Actually, the looks and the setout of the KPA are genius, just like a Tyler headstock, you either get it or you don't.

Did a quick clip.

Tokai Strat, single coil bridge pickup, one of the Kemper Mesa Dual Rec profiles...playing is bad, lead tone sounds pretty sweet to my ears.

Ok, I haven't even listened to this yet, but I saw the magic words "Tokai Strat" and had to say....  "What the...."???????????
I like it.

Now tell me about the Tokai strat.   :)

That's interesting.  What is it that you "get" and we don't about the looks of the KPA ?

It's like you have a piece of furniture in your house that you love but your friends don't like, they just don't "get" why you like that piece of furniture.
You might think a metallic green car is cool, your wife might think it's ugly as sin, you tell her, you just don't "get it".  ;)

I like the way the Kemper looks, you don't...it's that simple.

It's like a Tyler headstock discussion, most guys hate the headstock they think it's ugly, I think it's a work or art...so I say, they just don't "get" it.
DreamTheaterRules — Dec 28, 2011I like it.

Now tell me about the Tokai strat.   :)

I sell quite a big range of Tokai Strats and Teles here in SA.
Check out the Vintage Series page.
http://www.tokaiguitars.co.za/cat.html

Btw, Tokai have given me the rights to sell the Strat and Tele models in the USA.
I've placed my first USA order, it will ship direct from Japan to the USA (firast time since the early 80s I think), to my SA friend in Florida...he's my financial partner in my business.
I still have to decide how I'm going to sell them, I think I'll be using eBay and my current website....but I have the rights to sell them however I want in the USA, to music stores, etc....but I think direct online is the best way.
I'm starting small, I only ordered 22 guitars to start off with and see how it goes from there.
I'm trying to keep the pricing under $700, maybe $699.00 plus $100 for the new Tokai tweed cases.

The guitars will take 3 to 4 months to manufacture, and I guess about 4 weeks to ship to Florida...so this will only start in about April next year.

Check the catalog, I ordered, Strats - AST70s, Teles - ATE70s and ATE82s, and Pink Paisley Teles as well.
Sounds pretty good.  I'm just happy to hear you playing!

Damn, my playing is really weak these days, not that it wasn't always weak, but it's really rough at the moment.
Being Jewish, and a miser and all, I really think it's time I bought a new soundcard.  ;D
But... But... tokai has strats, and you didn't tell me???  You know I've always wanted one!
Dude, how could not know Tokai has strats? They've been selling them at least since the 80's.

Howie's become a child of the 10's.  If he doesn't get a tweet about something, see it on someone's wall or have an RSS feed get updated then it hasn't really happened for him yet.  ;) :D

I'm sure I told you!...ahaa, so you've never checked out my website?   :(... :o

Tokai have been making the Crafted in Japan Fender models for Fender since 1997.
They pulled out that contract a few months ago to concentrate on making their own Strats, Teles and basses.

NOT HERE!  ;)
yeah, I check it more than once, but you told me no strats in the USA.
Howie

No Les Paul's or other Gibson models in the USA, and not in the foreseeable future unless I'm prepared to take on the Gibson lawyers in the USA.  :)
However, a Tokai with a modified headstock Gibson can't do a thing, they only have a copyright on the headstock...so who knows, maybe I'll suggest it.
The Strats and Teles have a slightly modified headstock.

Btw, the Kemper mixer was released in the last few days, Thomann got 27, they have back orders for 52, they'll get more January 3rd.
Sweetwaters shipment is also on it's way to the US, so they should be shipping soon.

Modified headstock.

My favourite model, the ATE82 ASH body "Blonde"...my buddy Grant checking it out.

The Tokai tweed cases.

Good looking geetars there Lance!  :)
NICE
Considering you guys brought up the subject of the Kemper mixer, again, here's a new profile to listen to. :)

It's a Kulik GP1 Pre-Amp, using an IR cab from the Axe-FX11, Profiled by the Kemper.

The clip has four parts, two are the Kulik/Axe-FX11, and two are the Kempers profile.

Tokai stuff looks real good Lance, the Tele needs one more fret, the Strat has 22. It gotta have 22 frets for my taste, but even with 21 that Tele looks great.

Harv

That particular "Blonde" Tele in the photo is one with the genuine Fender headstock, it's a 1952 Tele Re Issue, with 21 frets, 7.25" neck radius, and vintage frets...in other words, vintage specs.
I got a few of those on 'special order' from Tokai, they don't usually export them.

The models I'm bringing into the USA are modernized versions with a mixture between vintage and modern specs.
The Strats have 22 frets, 9.5" neck radius, medium sized frets, vintage tuners, 6 screw bridges.
The Teles also have  22 frets, 9.5" neck radius, medium sized frets, vintage tuners, 3 saddle bridges, and both have the slightly modified headstock.

So, you have your 22 frets.  :)

They need 24 frets...  ;)

;D
Looking good Lance.

The last three out of ten guitars I have bought have been 24 frets.  I don't ever see going back to less.
The way I'm playing these days I only need 15 frets, and even that's too many.  ;D

Have a great NEW YEAR guys.

+1 my friend. One of the great things I noticed when I was learning always with you always with me by Satch is how he plays it on an21 fret strat I assume, and the 21st fret is integral... Become his highest note and the point where he bends from. I need probably 17, sometimes I go higher but I've got large hands.
I used to play WAY up there all the time and even hated strat scale necks for a few years because I thought the frets were just too far apart for me to play comfortably up by the nut.  Now, I rarely go past 17 or so, and if so it's very briefly.
