The Watering Hole

Sup guys! So I've been thinking of buying an Axe-FX Ultra for some time as I only hear good things about it. But I'm having a hard time tracking down clips of the amp models without them being drowned in some crazy U2-style echo or without being recorded through a cheap camera mic. I remembered that a couple of you guys had bought one of these and was wondering if I could trouble you guys for a few dry amp samples recorded direct. Namely the amp models I'm interested in are;

Plexi (cranked lead tone)
JCM800 (both light drive and cranked master sounds)
"Brown"model (EVH Plexi?)
SLO (high gain lead sound)
XTC Red channel (lead sound)
Both CAE 3+ channels
Both MKII lead channels

I owned a Digi Eleven Rack for a while and I loved the Plexi and MKII sounds, but nothing else really. Higher gain settings sounded pretty weak to me AND I couldn't use ProTools in Windows 7 64, so I returned it. Now I'm aching for some new hardware that I can use in the studio and live gigs so if anyone can help with clips of these particular models I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks fellas!
Oh Jon...  Looks like Juan could use a few clips from ya!  ;) :D
Excellent timing

I know this answer is slightly off topic.

If you mean a Mesa Boogie Mark II, it only had one lead channel, I had one waaaaay back in the day and I owned it for about 8-10 years, and it only had the clean channel and the lead channel. Mine had the graphic EQ so you could kick that in with the lead channel or kick in the lead without it, but that was a switch on the back of the amp. I used the lead channel with the graphic kicked in only. The Mark III was the first one with a crunch, a clean, and a lead channel. The Mark IV also. I also had a Mark IV for a few years.

Yeah, I knew that much. The Axe-FX models it twice, though. Once with the "bright" switch on and once with it off. That's what I read off the PDF manual anyway.  ;)

Cool. I forgot the push pull knobs on the channels. Now I remember.
Only just seen this thread.  I will give this a go tomorrow (Sunday)....just off to a wedding in a few minutes!
Sorry,  can't do any demos today as I have just been involved in a car accident this afternoon and it has taken the wind out of my sails a bit.   No real injuries thankfully.   We were passing a junction when the other car decided to turn right and drove right into the side of us.

Now it's all the crap with the insurance companies etc.

Grrhhh  >:(
Oh man, sorry to hear that Jon! Glad everyone's okay at least.  :-[
Go after them big-time Jon!  Maybe once things are back to where they were (or better) you'll end up with some extra gear money (hey, it's only fair to get SOMETHING out of an annoying situation, right?  ;) ).

Glad no one was hurt.  :)
here's a clip i did a year or so ago with old old firmware. the new stuff is so much better i'm hesitant to post it

click on the "axe fx comparison" link. you can compare that to the ecstacy classic clip i recorded beside it.
check out the new clean sound i posted on that same link above. the new shiva model
That Shiva clean is unreal.  Loves it man!!
Man, those clips sound really good. I'm so close to buying but now I'm torn between the regular model or the Ultra.
From what everybody I've talked to has said, Ultra without a doubt.  More processing power.  Plus, according to Aaron, only it can do the violin thing.
