The Watering Hole

I've been trying to decide which PRS to buy.  SO hard to decide.  There are 2-3 I'd love to have.  I think I've decided on the Swamp Ash Narrowfield.  The pickups are the same speck as my 57/08s, but in a narrow configuration that they say makes them more like a single coil.  I've played a couple and they sound fantastic.  But this one is an anniversary edition with flamed neck and anniversary swag (case etc.).

What do you think of this?  Look at all the pics.  I love this thing!!!

Really nice looking guitar.  Those streamlined hummies remind me of the Duncan line of humbuckers that fit in a single coil.  I tried a few of them in the past.

Hey, if it's what you want, Giddy-up!!!  :D
Buy 'em all, sell your car.  You won't need to drive anywhere.  :D ;D
Sic it!! ;D

I keep wanting to call this model the Swamp Ass Special.  Of course, that is a totally different thing.  LOL
Howie,

There is an identical one in Whale type Blue on TGP for $1800.  Cherry condition.
The one I got last year is blue (Sapphire smoke burst) so i was thinking red this time.  Got to have balance.   ;D

Here is one of the others that I'm struggling with.... this thing is awesome...

This one is better looking, (one of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen.  Look at the zoom pics on the body!)  but more similar to the two I already have (mahogany body, flamed maple top, etc.)   I was going for the maple fingerboard thing this time.  But these are hard to resist.  I looked at one without the 10's top at GC last week, and it had a KILLER top, same color, less expensive.  This pickup combination is awesome.  If was loaded I'd get this and the swamp ash narrowfield.  This studio model also comes in a Swamp Ash which is very cool, just not quite as pretty.

Oohh, now this one I like!! Better pickup config too!!  :)
I'm with Derek!!!  This ain't even close.  Studio 22 in that color for the WIN!!
Yeah, if it were just looks, no contest.  But as with women, looks are only a part of it.  I've been wanting a maple fingerboard "strat type" (maybe to replace my strat) guitar.  I originally was after the 305 model.  The narrowfield pickups aren't completely strat spanky, but can be EQ'd to be close, and can do more.

I know the Studio is a killer guitar. And this is the prettiest one I've seen...  But it's much like my other two PRS's. I wanted something more different.  FWIW, Amy choses the studio first also.   :)
Nice but a bit pricey
You know how I'd do it:

Course, I will never spend more than a few hundred on a guitar again...
