Word. Heard one of these today. Rock in a box. One of the best sub-$100 distortion boxes I've heard in a LONG time ($79.99 street).

It's a modified DS-1--uses 1n4148 diodes with red LEDs for distortion, the crunch switch adds an extra pair of 1n4148. That's what the schematic looks like, at least. Very affordable way to get something pretty similar to a Keeley DS-1, only difference is the MXR doesn't have asymmetric clipping.

I had it running into a Classic 30. Other than the cone cry of that Blue Marvel speaker in the Classic 30 (if I had a Classic 30, that speaker would have to go), it sounded excellent.
