After all of these years it is acting up. There seems to be some sort of short in the thing. Oh well I only use it for one patch, and it is an intelligent harmony patch, no biggie. I can live without it.
You might consider a quick trip to a service place first.  Sometimes it IS only a simple part failing somewhere.

Besides, intelligent harmonizers are hard to find unless you're willing to pay a lot (it's the reason I bought the G-Force instead of the G-Minor). :)
I am thinking one of the Digitech pedals like the RP250 http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/DigiTech-RP250-Multi-Effects-Pedal?sku=156607 it is $149 it does the intelligent pitch shifting. It has the same models as the GNX2 (At least the ones I have used) it uses X-Edit, It looks like a good replacement cheap because I only use the GNX2 for one patch, but I maybe could edit more up if it has the same or better sound quality. I don't want to spend too much for one patch, or a modeler that does more, because I do not really like the modeling sound, simple as that. I use tube distortion stomps and a separate Reverb pedal (Digitech Digital verb)
Wow, I didn't know anyone was making an intelligent pitch shifter in that price range!  Hope it tracks well.  The cheapest I found before the G-Force was a BOSS VF-1 (which I sold to August).

It is a modeler it does amp models and cab models and all kinds of other stuff. So it is not a one trick pony. My GNX2 tracked perfectly and this unit has a CPU upgrade from the old GNX series.
I've always heard about tracking concerns in these devices.  Would this be an even bigger concern for those who play fast?

Only for those using some whacked-out superlocraphrygian mode.  ;)
ha, I don't even know that one.   I stick with the simple ones.  I mainly play the chromatic major or chromatic minor.   :D

Nor do you read Charger's forum descriptions evidentally. :)

The GNX2 tracked like an apache indian after a young maiden. It never missed a beat.

I kept telling everyone at the WH that the GNX2 was a great item. Now that it is now defunct (And I suspect that we shoved the wires coming out from the back of the thing under the amp and broke something in there) I would not go anywhere else than Digitech to look for something to replace it. No Pod does intelligent harmonies that I know of, so I would not even consider one of their products.

The GNX2 had a setting for major, minor, all of the keys and and all of the modes. It tracked like a bear following a female in  heat.
The thing is working again, this gives me time to wait for the RP255, the newer version of the RP250. Or get the 250 discounted when the 255 comes out.
The Boss GS-10 that I had for a couple months had an intelligent harmonizer... worked great.  In this FNJ, I used it at around the :25 mark... results were pretty nice...

Nice guitar work Charger, Very nice guitar work. If I wanted to spend Five hun, I would get this; http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/DigiTech-RP1000-Guitar-Multi-Effects-Pedal?sku=150613  I have always been a bigger fan of Digitech modeling over Line 6 and Boss products. The Digitech unit has computer editing via X-Edit/USB the GT 10 does not have computer editing (or it did not last time I looked at it), that would be a must for me. I am not really into modeling per se as far as amp/cab models go, but I would need a harmonizer with modeling and the cheaper RP250 or the new RP255 has that and more for $149, and it is small enough to fit in one of my pedal boards. Thanks for the heads up, but I have already decided I don't need a $500 modeler. Besides the GNX2 is working again for now so we shall see.
Harv, I wasn't recommending the GT-10, I didn't even know that existed and I've certainly never played one.  I used the GS-10 for about three months, and I don't recommend that either... the sounds from it were decent fro a few things but very hashy for a lot of stuff.

My post was more a response to Craig, who mentioned that intelligent harmonizers are hard to find cheap... I think my GS-10 cost $200...

Oh my bad..... But still, I am not into the COSM modeling thing in fact I prefer Digitech to all of those others. Thanks for the heads up anyways.
on a "time sure does fly" note, FNJ 4-30-04  :o :o
