The Watering Hole

I just bought a Vox AC10 C1.   It's all tube and only 10 watts, but surprisingly loud, very loud in fact. Easily loud enough to play with a drummer.  It has a very punchy sound and I especially like the gain control and master volume. Also sounds great with either humbuckers or single coil pickups.

All in all really pleased with it.  Will probably do some clips at the weekend.
That's Cool, Jon.  I went and saw a Texas band the other weekend at a big outdoor event here in St. Pete, FL.  One of the lead guitarists plays an AC30 rig.  It was blond, so I'm guessing it was one of the handwired series.  A head on a 2 x 12 cab.  Sounded fantastic.

I sold a bunch of crap I had laying around on Reverb and bought one of the new Fender Bassbreaker 007 Heads.  It arrived today.  I like it a lot.  Very simple Class A.  I've played a bunch of the small low watt stuff.  I think they did a nice job with this, for me anyway.
The Bassbreaker 007 sounds like fun.  The best amps do seem to be as simple as possible, no gimmicks, no gizmos, just crank 'em up and glorious tone erupts :)
