My Facebook friends already saw this, but I had to post here, too...super excited about this one...

I've been looking for another good Carvin like the B5 I got a couple of years ago, and I FOUND ONE! An LB75.

Same electronics as my B5, so it's a Swiss Army bass, tone-wise, and I'm used to how they work, plus it has the same neck profile so it feels very similar. It's a teeny bit lighter (which is great because the other one was already really light) and is neck-through and made from different wood (maple neck/walnut sides instead of ash), so it sounds a teeny bit different, but it's awesome. I love love love it. Can't wait to play it at the show tomorrow night!

Had to share. :)

Mmm... Lovely wood!  :)
That's awesome!  I love my carvin... makes me want another one!
Sexy! Congrats.  :)
I absolutely LOVE walnut as a guitar wood.  Heavy though... and with a Carvin that size, I'm not envying your shoulders!
Cool looking bass, good luck with it

It's actually surprisingly light for walnut and maple together...kind of freaked me out, actually. I expected it to be a boat anchor. But it's the third-lightest bass I've ever owned (behind a Yamaha RBXA5 and my Carvin B5).

Love it, though. It's just perfect for me, and once I shell out for my preferred strings, it will be great. It has Ken Smith strings on there that are nice, but they feel and sound a little weird because I'm an Elixir guy and just prefer them.

Even after the honeymoon this and my B5 are going to be fighting each other for stage time.
