charger — Dec 12, 2012I have to say, Howie did show up to WHS one year, and he had all of these pedals in their original packaging. And we're not talking some fancy boutique pedals. We're talking Boss pedals. In the original packaging. Man, I'm lucky if I get my guitars into a case when I head across town with them...
While this makes for funny banter, you KNOW the only reason is because I didn't even have a pedalboard then and the boxes were all in a gig bag. Just to protect them from getting all scratched up in the bag. ;) (since there were soon to be replaced with hundreds of boutique pedals and all. LOL)
Chris, I'm with you. I have some cool gear, but I don't want hurt their ears with my (as Matt, my supposed friend, so eloquently put it) "pissed off mosquito tone" :D
I think they voted one year, that I was allowed to bring whatever I wanted to WHStock, but they all got to play it and I didn't!
In their defense, the one year, I did take a bright amp, a bright speaker that was still crunchy new, and a strat. Not a good combo.

Dude, I had a sinus condition back then that caused my ears to be clogged up and I could hear no treble. I know things are better now because my dogs don't run to the other end of the house every time I fire up a guitar. And I'm REALLY sorry for any ear damage I did. Thank God I don't play loud! ;D
