Don't know what the "normal" retail is on this mic H, but at 138db max SPL, I figure it's gonna struggle with most good guitar speakers at more than bedroom level.  :-?

I may well be wrong so feel free to educate me if I am.
Little bright for my tastes.

That is pretty much a vocal mike I would say.

Gotta admit, I'm pretty impressed!  I thought I was pretty good, but no matter WHAT I do, I can't ever get her up to 138dB in the bedroom.    ;D ;D

Ok, seriously, 138dB is just "more than bedroom level?  That is short order hearing damage level.  Anyway, this mic is good for vocals, but I know several people who use it for vocals, acoustic guitar mic, speaker cab mic, room mic, etc...
Have you ever stuck your ear 1" off the speaker cloth and hit a chord at bedroom levels? I did once, NEVER AGAIN!! :'(.
I would use that as a vocal mike and acoustic instrument mike probably more than cabinet mike at extreme volumes. I would use an SM57 for cabinet mike purposes. But then again I have an SM57 for exactly that purpose. But who knew I would be living in such close quarters so miking up an amp is really a no-no around here.
That would have no problem on pretty much any guitar amp I can think of.

However, is $200 good for that mic, when there are so many very affordable condenser mics coming out of China these days?  There are an awful lot of great mics you can get in the $200 range.  I have always questioned the value of those Shure condensers...
