Fender Lite Ash strat, unsure of the year, made in Korea.  I've been lusting after one of these since I first played one in Bowling Green, Kentucky, as FB knows.  Saw this in my local shop and could not resist, I didn't even talk them down from the $400 price (although they did throw in a free 3-way tele switch, which is what I really went to the store for...)

Needs a new tusq nut and a setup (although as I've found with Fender, the setup us pretty good already), and I'll probably put a nicer 2-point trem on, maybe a Wilkinson.

Here's how it sounds (recorded through my iPhone)...

oh yeah!  Right there with you on these.  I almost bought one of these when on my great strat search a couple years back and absolutely would have if they had the "available" (but impossible to find) white in stock
schweet!!!!  nothing like sexy strat pictures.  I can't believe you didn't even try to Jew them down.  Apparently the economy hasn't bothered YOU Mr. Money bags!!! HAHAHAHA  You paid $200 too much for that.  Crazy Arab, you are certainly no Jew!  HAHAHAHA
I asked, FB, but it had only been on the floor for two days.  There's no way they're going to deal without it sitting for at least a month. Look at that neck... I'd pay $200 for that alone--plus Duncans, and the sweet body...  If it hadn't played well and sounded great I would have waited. I still remember that black one I saw in Bowling Green... it was right around this price, new.  They didn't make enough of them, and people really like them, so prices haven't moved.
Great guitar, congrats !

I've played it two times at the shop (the same guitar in two different years :) ) ...but they still want 650 euro for it. :o

Ciao!
Marco
Actually now that I think of it, the price was $679 when it was new.

New pic--installed a graphtech trem nut, added a spring, put on .10s, lowered the action way down.

nice score there, sounds really sweet as well...

Great looking guitar, love the grain/birdseye on that neck.
Nice guitar, Duncan pups? They noiseless, or humbucking stacks?

No, I'm mostly a single coil guy these days. They are Duncan Alnico IIs--not added by me, that's what these guitars came with.
Nice guitar no matter what the pups are. Simply elegant, no fancy, just exceptionally tasteful.
