The Watering Hole

On another private forum that descended from the Cakewalk forums, some guy was selling old gear so I grabbed a Blues Driver (Boss BD-2) for twenty bucks. I have wanted one for my road pedal board for the longest time, now I got one. Now the question is; Keeley modded or not Keelley modded. I kinda like it the way it is, I use it for tone control and boost for my strat style noiseless single coil guitar.

Personally, weve got three in the studio, one original, one with "Monte Allums" mods, one with "Keeley" mods.  Most guitar players in the agree on the original as the best.  However if you want it modded, send it to me, I'll do it for $10 + shipping.  I'd suggest the Wampler mods, they look like a good combo of the most common sense updates, he also has a "tweed" mod update that twangs it up a little. Or leave it alone. It's a great pedal, one of the few implementations of a discrete opamp in a guitar pedal, and has a sound that is all around really useful, if a little heavy in the bass and mids.

I was thinking when I come up there in June I would like to stop by for a jam, and pedal tweak. But truth be told I only use it for boost and tone control for my one Strat type instrument to give it more oomph and less treble. So I think I will leave it as is. But we could do a jam perhaps, I can come down from Lake County for an afternoon jam, do you work a day job? If you work weekdays, perhaps a weekend afternoon jam. I will be there from Friday June 20th to Tuesday June 24.

We jam every Thursday night... it's weird timing I know, but works out the best for everyone involved.  I've got things scheduled that weekend on both days already...  You could definitely come by on another night, play through the amps, pedals, etc.

Well I won't be there till Friday night, and probably burned out at that from driving. But maybe next time. We come up several times a year. I will give a longer notice next time.
