I. must. have. one.

any experiences with it?
(zvex Machine)
alright, $300... um, nm. damn.
another fun pedal from Zach.
I did not think much of the tones he got in that demo, sounded like a thin fuzz tone. Man I am into more deeper fatter tones without any buzz than that thing puts out. Personal taste I guess.
yeah, on it's own it's kinda weird.
but check it out through a fuzz... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poAMUP5v7yM&feature=related
Towards the end of the first clip, alot of what was played sounded a lot like a early Martin Barre tone.
The second clip was pretty impressive when double with the fuzz pedal.
Sheep,
Zach's pedals are expensive. I hear a lot of octave fuzz there. That can be done WAY cheaper.... FWIW. I like that type of thing for the Purple Haze stuff, but like sweeter and fatter fuzz better for most other stuff. (Fuzz Face type stuff and Big Muff type stuff). You can probably score score most of what you heard much cheaper.
I can get close with the '70+ultimate octave... but man, that wackiness on the note decay is so insanely cool. I've never heard anything quite like it!
if this is real... possibly cheaper to build one...

though the "unknown diodes" might be hard to come by. ;)
ooh, http://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=22
man, lots of good stuff over there.
Free stomp will be all over it. There are some seriously good pedal builders there. I'll check this out tonight. Also, re: the note decay, I'll listen again to see what it is you're digging so much. Fuzz pedals can be made to do different things in the decay side, simply by adjusting the bias on the transistor. I'll check it out and see if I have any more ideas, but you've already stumbled onto the motherlode. Free Stomp is some serious stuff.
awesome pedal but yeah 3billz ouch! i paid 180 for a vexter series fuzz factory and that was way overpriced.. good pedals but just too damn expensive. Idiots are willing to pay that and much more so they drive the market :D
no kidding - to paraphrase the description of the pedal... at price points where other pedals don't happen, this pedal happens. heh.
I think I'll have to get into building pedals. guess I need another hobby, eh? ;)
Fuck, that pedal in the video sounds fucking terrible....sounds like a bee or a wasp or something.
heh, try the second video from 1:10 - the note bloom on decay is what I like about it - definitely not an "always on" pedal ;)
yeah, it's a "thing" but it can be a really cool thing. I like that after 1:10 as well.
Sheep, if you want to look into building, go to BYOC. Their kits aren't the cheapest, but it's by far the best way for a new person to get started. A) the kits are great. B) the instructions are great, and C) the forum is the most helpful place ever and full of experienced guys. If you noticed "Culturejam" as one of the mods on the Free Stomp link you put up, he's a buddy of mine and I've bought lots of parts from him etc. He has his own page and does a lot of experimenting with fuzz pedals. He's a mod at BYOC forum too.

Yes, that's much better...not sure how useable that tone is though?
This is the fuzz I'd love: Monolith Oracle Fuzz!!!

Yes "useable"! It's not a tone that you would use on every song, which is why I am wondering how "useable" it is. I can see it working with hendrix style numbers, not sure about anything else. Of course this is my opinion, you may have a different opinion and good luck to you.
it's like a wah... or the EH frequency analyzer I have. just fun, not foundational tone pedals.
I guess some people use parked wah all the time, but you see what I mean.
mainly, it'd be for fun. the price tag kinda moves it out of the "just for fun" realm though. :(
that Oracle pedal sounds pretty killer!

i dont think i ever heard a tone that was un-useable. except maybe the fender frontline practice amp i have..
Evidentally you've forgotten about J-o-e-y's tone? :D ;D
