The Watering Hole

I just picked one of these up as a 'Grab and Go' amp...to carry over to my buddy's place, etc.
Anyway, has anyone else tried these? So far I like it, for what it is. Easy to use, easy to dial in a tone I want.
I have read on the Peavey Amp forums that there are some issues with them, but supposedly there is a firmware update that resolves them.
Anyway, I traded a Boss RC-20 Loop pedal that I never use for this (yeah, I'm always trading something for something else), and so far, so good.
I still haven't heard one.  (Last years income drop put a stop to the almost weekly trips to Guitar Center  ::))     Let us know how you like it once you've put it through it's paces for a while.
This guy is on the Peavey site for the VYPYR demoing the VYPYR 30:

He does a few different ones and is quite good I think.
well you've had it a few days, what the deal is?
Well, so far, so good. I really like this amp. Great tones, good effects. Easy to use. I think the modelling is better than on the Line 6 stuff.
I think the VYPYR line is in direct comopetition with the Line 6 Spider series, not so much the Flextone series.
About the only thing I think Peavey could improve on the series would be to consider a deep editor, similar to Line 6's Editing software.
I haven't had any issues with the amp. It seems most of the issues seem to crop up when the Sanpera footswitch is brought into the picture....at least that's what I perceive from what i see on the Peavey forums for the VYPYR series. I don't have the footswitch though. It's pretty expensive...somewhere around $250 or something for the Sanpera II. For a $200-$250 amp, it's not worth it to me. Maybe for some of the bigger hardware. The VYPYR also has a tube line, starting at 60 watts I believe.
Dook,

Dar got a 75 watter and loves the amp.  Said the amp models are stellar.  And, he tried all of them and said they ALL sound great, even the cheapest model.
