Interesting little amp. Played on a couple today and was pleasantly surprised. The Fender cleans were nice. The only distortions I liked though were the Peavey models. And mayby the Deizel. The UK stuff was thin. The 6105 was killer.
I was sort of torn between the 2x12 100 watt SS combo for $479, and the 50 watt 1x12 Tube driven combo for $499. When the Transtube knob was turned up on the SS 2x12 combo, it sounded pretty good for a SS amp. Nice big sound. But again the 50 watt 1x12 sounded a tad better, but had a little smaller sound being as it is a 1x12.

Any of you spent any time with these? Would dig some feedback.
Dar has the 75 watt model and likes it.  He too mentioned the 6506 model being really good.

Oh, and Hey Johnny.  What's up bro?
I tooled around on the SS 75 watt model today. The 60 watt tube version smokes it in every way. Just much more depth to the tone. Plus I found myself fighting the highs on the 75 watter. Reminded me of the 'Hair' knob of the Triple X....but I couldn't turn the 'hair' down enough.

Think I'm gonna save up for a month and go for the 60 watt tube version. GC has it for $449, plus $199 for the big pedal. Sort of a cheap way to get into a 6505...but with tons of extras to boot.

And BTW...I'm doing good Howie! Selling flooring (carpet, wood, laminate, tile, etc) and loving it. Verizon was the biggest headache of a job I've ever had. Decent money, but dealing with spoiled teenagers is not my thing. I cannot count the amount of parents that I wanted to punch in the face. Hard.

Enough of that, because I seriously get worked up about it....it was that bad. I'm now working on larger ticket items with people who actually treat me with some dignity. Plus I'm making more money AND working about 20 hours less per week. True story. Nice to have my life back :)
