Me too and it does sound like ass. I have the 15 G, I had two but sold one for fifty bucks a while back tried to dump the second one but no go.
K, gisregard this thread, lol, I took that fucker back today...now I understand why it was so cheap, thing starts making scary and loud popping/clicking sounds after 30 min or so of playing at moderate volume - NO THANKS! (=
You would have gotten over it in a little while anyways, Tubes baby tubes, if it ain't got tubes it is artificial.

Snob ;D ;)

Not really,
I Have Ears I have feel in my hands, I know what the dynamics of a tube amp are vs artificial sounding solid state and digital equipment, I have modelers of course and I don't knock them truthfully, but I do understand the exact truth of what I am saying. They are artificial sounding to a degree, but if you use them all of the time you get used to the artificiality, and it sounds good to you. I will be in New Jersey next Sunday and I have a 40 minute set at a party to do, so my kid is bringing me one of my old GNX2's and his SS bass amp, along with a guitar I made and gave him years ago. So by the following Saturday I will be used to the GNX2 sound, (all of my patches are still on the thing)
Well, I've been def since I was 10 and have no feeling in my hands - I've owned tube amps, SS amps, modelers, etc, and I agree, nothing beats tubes when your're serious, but if a guy just needs a 'plug in and wank, loosten up, no tube warm-up wait time, maitenence free/no biasing here, blah, blah, amp', nothing wrong with solid state IMO, hell, when I was a kid I plugged into the mic input of my bedroom stereo and could hear myself playing (I think thats what caused the of defness ;) :D), sometimes thats all you need, that, and the near free price was the reason I bought it...just turned out to be a dog, but I'd buy another in a sec for the same reasons.
LOL!
My second"guitar amp" was a home stereo that dad picked out just because it had a "guitar" input right on the front. I fondly remember discovering feedback as there was a certain note I could play ANY time that would sustain forever! I could play that note, or bend up too it from anywhere I could get too it from, and just hold it for minutes at a time. I was "feeling" Jimi at those times.... ;D

All in fun Howie, although you must admit you were leaving yourself "wide open" for that one (not wide open in a gay way though....I hope) ;D
Time for a little gay pride Howie? :D
