For all you bastards that own an Xbox or other gaming system....this game let's you plug your real guitar and jam along. Just got it tonight and played for an hour and a half and had a blast. Game self adjusts to your ability. You can literally turn your tv into an amp. All sorts of pedals, amps, and other stuff to create your own sound. Comes with a special 1/4 to USB cable.
Could be a great practice tool for you guys wanting to break out of your old routine or just need a different way to think about stuff. Mini games emphasis specific techniques.

Does it have lessons. That would be interesting.
It's not so much lessons as it is mini games designed to help you improve techniques.
One of the games is called Ducks. In this one you play notes linearally on one string. Duck pops up on the 3rd fret on the low E you fret it and it shoots the duck. Games gets faster as you level up. IT breaks the neck up into "shift" points. Think of groups of four frets. Instead of sliding around with one finger trying to play the notes you learn to shift and use all four left hand fingers. My daughter whom had never seriously played guitar before was doing the one finger thing and in about 2-3 rounds of this game realized it was much easier to use your whole hand instead of the one finger.
In Super Ducks it is the same concept across more strings. As you level up it adds more strings.
There was a chord game the lets you shot zombies.
I haven't played all the mini games. But they are good. There is one for sliding and one for sustaining. I think there is about 15-20 of those mini games that focus on technique. There are some videos before you play those techniques that show you a bit.
The one thing that it didn't cover....at least I haven't seen is is picking technique....but I just might not have unlocked something like that yet.
