Today I found a secret weapon for the HD...it's called a TELECASTER.
Yikes!
All my patches are tweaked for a Strat or Les Paul, but today I plugged in a Tele with a Rosewood neck and it blew my mind.
Punch, thump, twang, I love it, I think a Tele is my new favourite guitar.
Every amp model has come alive, and who said a Tele can't rock, it certainly can, AC/DC, Led Zepp, it does it all.
I've got a couple teles, made em all myself... but no comment because I don't have an HD500.
Nothing "secret weapon" about the Tele to me... ever heard Jim Campilongo?

Umm, okay, this is an ad for Fender amps but... this guy's playing makes me wanna weep. Just Tele > Princeton (reissue).
Here's the link! (duh)

Very cool indeed.
Love the look of an old 'aged' Tele, especially a blonde.
Tele's are great guitars whatever you plug them into. I just love the "bite" they have.
I've been thinking for some-time now of putting tele pickups on a les paul, purely because I love the ease of playability of a les paul and I love tbe bite of a tele. Might just get a cheapo les paul to try it on.
I always wanted a tele. Just that other guitars keep catching my eye when it's time to buy. I will have one eventually.

Not sure if those two terms go together! ;D

meaning: a cheap and nasty copy to test the theory on.

They do if it's an Epiphone. :)
nothing cheap about my epiphone, with the pickups and wiring system it's a damn expensive guitar.....and really nice one too. The best neck I've ever had with an extremely low action just the way I like it
I've brought a '72 reissue jap tele a while ago. Later I put in a set of Fender Texas Specials, Fender 4-way switch and upgraded the pots and wiring. I love the thing, the Texas specials have a really nice clean sound, but grit up really nicely with a harder pick.
My first electric guitar was a 50's Tele, I sold it for 350 back then and the guy stiffed me for the last 50 bucks. I liked that guitar, but I was always (and still am) a humbucking pup fan. Although I do have one strat clone, an Agile, with Fender Noiseless pups in it, but it is my least favorite guitar.
