Nice (what I watched of it).
That thing is crazy!  And not a "gimmick."  MMEB are great guitars and this should do about any tone but big hollow body stuff.  This is pretty incredible.
Won't be buying one anytime soon.  I have all the tones that I need covered with my les paul with all the push pull knobs and my tele.

I find these videos a bit of a yawn to be honest, pretty much a case of "seen it before".
9 million options?  Yeah, right.

The blue custom guitar you've all seen in my avatar has very interesting wiring using two two-way switches, a multi-position tone knob and a 5-way switch, allowing me to select all the different pickups, coils, combinations, phases, serial and parallel.  There were 24 unique combinations (although many of these were duplicated on different settings).

The schematic was developed by Deaf Eddie (who makes the Fat-O For Fatties custom tone knobs).  If you're curious, I made a two page cheat-sheet that I then turned into a double-sided laminate and you can check it out HERE.

24 required the cheat sheet, 9 million?  Good luck with that.  ;)

FWIW though, I do like Music Man guitars - especially the Axis.  :)
I love Music Man guitars, but this one just makes me go, "meh".

I'd rather play my James Tyler Variax.

It's too bad no one has come up with the Axe-FX equivalent for a guitar - like a super high-end guitar modeler...you'd think that'd have a market, too, especially if it was some sort of drop-in modification.

How is the JTV?  And I mean, guitar-wise, how is it, and model-wise as well.

It's a fantastic guitar all by itself. I actually really like the stock pickups and the neck feel, and the trem is really smooth. Add in the Variax features, and it's a true "Swiss Army Guitar". It can do so much. The models sound more detailed to me than the older Variaxes I had for sure.

Seriously - my favorite electric guitar I've ever owned so far, and I don't even love the way it looks (it's a red JTV-69).

(sorry it took so long for my reply) :)
