Now I am really interested. I am torn between the Tweaker and the VHT 12/20 heads. But what I really want is something rather light with an on board 12 " speaker (Which I will immediately change to something smoother rounder deeper than a Celestian). Anyways those two above seem like they might fit them bill.

A few months back Rich Birch (Voxman) actually did a review of the Laney Cub 12R which is a little cheaper than the two above, and real light, but it also needed a speaker change. The Cub 12R uses EL 84's which I can live with. But from the tone samples I have heard of the Tweaker head, I am most impressed by that one. I am also thinking the Tweaker Combo. because the head really impressed me with it's tonal range.
I have almost decided on the Tweaker from all of the clips I could find. I am thinking it, and the Digitech Harmony Man to add to my already almost full pedal board.
I love my tweaker, but I'd audition it and the 12/20 if I was buying new

I decided to put the money in the bank after looking at and listening to clips and clips, and comparing them with my Hot Rod Deluxe, I decided I had everything I need.

I was also thinking a nice portable PA so I could go out with my backing tracks. (I have 4 sets at least) and playing small clubs which the Valve Jr could handle (or my GK ML250 miked up) the HRD could play almost any room I would be involved in.

But after really thinking on it I really don't want to schlep a few hundred pounds of gear in and out of some downtown club for a lousy hundred fifty bucks ( if I am lucky to get that) So I decided to bag the whole gear idea in favor of my saving account.

Not exciting I know but at my age I think it is a wiser decision. Now if I could only move the other Gibson 2003 Faded SG I have. It is absolutely the finest instrument I have ever owned as far as the neck/fingerboard is concerned. It ain't pretty but it sure is one fine sounding/playing instrument.
DBM, have you listened to the superchamp X2 ?
I've just uploaded a short clip I've played using it. It's an awesome small (and relatively cheap) amp with every kind blues sound in it!
I'm really really happy with it...and  I'll probably be happy also after the next Jon gear purchase!  ;D

Hope that help in your amp choice!

Ciao,
Marco
Thanks Marco I listened to your clip and it is very beautiful, Here is my response in Italian (for those of you who don't read Italian the English is in the topic X2 under Making Music).
