Local music shop just rang, they have one just delivered today for me to try. Going to try it tomorrow morning and if I like it it's coming home with me :)
Cool! I remember when you posted about these before. They looked pretty interesting. Look forward to hearing about it.
Don't forget your wallet! ;D
Looks cool, post a review........
Just got back from the music store, and the supro came home with me :)
At low volumes of course this is a very clean amp, but crank it to midway and you get a very nice compressed break up thing going on and then crank it all the way wide open (which I did in the store amp demo room) and damn, I nearly shit myself. What a glorious tone. I bought this for rehearsals as it's a nice size for transporting but has enough grunt to work with the drum kit etc. I have also bought a Jet City Amplification Jettenuator so I can dial down the speaker volume but crank the amp to get the valves cooking at a lower volume (which won't be the same I know, but still good).
Clips in a few days :)
Awesome. We've got three Supro-lineage 60's amps, all based on the 6973 power tubes, of various types (a real Supro, a Gretsch, and a Valco). They all sound different but similar. They've got pretty good reverb and nice trem circuits too, and you can jumper the channels and blend the straight and vibrato. Great sounding amps. My audio engineer friend is a real Zep/Supro fanatic.
