Yep, the Rebel 20 sold on TGP. I found my dream amp on Craigs List and the guy actually held it until I got payment for the Rebel 20. Going to meet him at lunch today to pick it up.
Pics and clips to follow! ;)
I'll believe both when I see them. LOL
Congrats DUDE!! I'll let you unveil it and not spoil the surprise.
Could it be???? ;) :D

hahaha, right on, but it's a head, not a combo. And I have it now. Looking pretty good sitting on my desk in my office! LOL
Can't wait to get home!!!
Howie, Craig's pic doesn't count. Ya still have to give us amp porn. Have we ever seen actual pics of your PRS Semi-Hollow??? :P

Or his Ibanez Artist for that matter >:( ::)
Howie Coleman, Silent Recorder and Invisible Photographer, at your service. ;)

:D
LOL...
and WOW. The amp is awesome! That OD channel is fantastic! As long as you don't have tons of gain, it can roll all the way back to clean with the guitar volume control. And, as I'd heard, the ability to control overdrive with just the pick is incredible. It's easy to set it where if you pick light it's clean but if you pick harder its overdriven... and if you pick hard it's distortion! VERY nice!
The clean channel is more the big fat variety, rather than the bright scooped Fender type. However, that's a preliminary opinion. There is a mids switch that does incredible things on the OD channel, but I didn't play with it a lot on the clean channel yet. Nor did I go trough all kinds of EQ range testing.
More to come. Including pics. ;)
Umm.. what kind of amp is it?
Budda's are great! Is it a Twinmaster head? I NEARLY picked one of those up myself not long ago, great cleans, chewy crunch, sweet price and I believe it was a first year model, hand-wired. Anyway, congrats. Pix?!
congrats dtr!
I can imagine how great it sounds and how cool it looks.
which is a good thing since I'll never hear or see it... ;) :D
Oh it really IS a Budda? It's gotta be a Superdrive... it's a Howie amp, gotta have drive in the name.
Here's a good new year's res Howie:
This year post pics of your gear, and record it.
Charger, yes, it's a Superdrive 18. The drive channel is incredible. Pics and clips, huh? I'll see what I can do.
Thanks Derek,
Sheep, you'll see it. Probably hear it. Heck, you show up at Bertstock and I'll let you PLAY it! :)
The funny thing about this is, apparently they put all the superdrive heads in one size cab because this sucker is huge! WAY bigger than my 1x12 avatar that it's sitting on. In fact, so much wider that the feet on the Budda are 2-3" out past the sides of the cab. I guess that means I need at least a 2x12 for it. ;D
Good luck with it Howie, I hope to hear some clips someday...................
update: WOW! I love this amp. The OD channel KILLS! Wish the wife would leave the house for a few hours... or days ;D so I could turn it up loud!
She can come over to my house... she cooks, right?
oh yeah, she cooks VERY well! The problem would be that you'd gain 20lbs the first two weeks she was there.
So is this the last amp you'll ever buy Howie?
We are still waiting for the clips ...
doc — Feb 28, 2011We are still waiting for the clips ...
of the first amp you ever brought.
;D Don't know if this is the last one, but I doubt this one will ever leave.
Until the next one comes along! ;)
Those are really nice amps. Now we need to get you a mic and a DP-004 or a Micro BR 4.
