The Watering Hole

Just arrived, my Tonerider Hot Classics for the tele I am building.  I had to share a photo because they are absolutely beautiful.  I've read a lot of good reviews on them and liked the company philosophy--actually built by hand in the USA, scatterwound, and priced right--$80 a set.  A bit more than half the cost of Duncans or similar.

Check out the thick copper plate and the twine wrap around the coils... beautiful.

Clips fool.  Clips.  Don't be a cock tease.  Give us the show!  ;D
Looks great! Now you just need one of those clear plastic guitars like Metalica used in concert to show those puppies off.  :)

What you like in those are exactly why I went with Bare Knuckle Pickups and not something more mainstream.  I was able to start with one of their so-called "stock" models (even though they are also hand-made, scatterwound pickups) and discuss the best modifications to match them to my guitars.
Scatterwounds are awesome.  Can't wait to hear em Charger!!

I hear ya Craig.  BKP are awesome on the service side.  The Nailbombs in my RG sound awesome.
Bareknuckles look nice, but $200 for a set of two pickups is steep... are they cheaper in the UK?  I'm happy buying American... I liked the Chinese or Korean GFS pickups but I have no problem paying $40 per pickup instead of $30 and getting hand-scatter-wound US made stuff... seems like a no-brainer.

It's a spalted maple top on Basswood body tele... I have to post pics since a lot has changed since the last time I posted pics.  It's now finished, sanded, buffed and polished, and I have a gorgeous Canary wood Warmoth neck and about 2/3 of the hardware.
Actually, they are made in the UK... strangely, still very cheap here in the US.
